Johnny Vicious' massacre of this song is about the worst thing he's ever done - I don't see how these were even approved. The chorus sections are okay, but the verses are so off-key and wretched it makes my skin crawl. He's an amazing remixer, so I'm confused at how he came up with this pile of garbage for such a beautiful song.

He's an amazing remixer, so I'm confused at how he came up with this pile of garbage for such a beautiful song. I was shocked as well. I guess the song was too difficult for him to work with.  I can only imagine what a nightmare an original Jonathan mix of that song would have been given the direction of his recent Rihanna and Charice mixes.  |

What's killing me is that all of the unofficial remixes (e.g. Edson, Scorpio, etc...which I was actually REALLY looking forward to hearing) all use the Vicious acappella, instead of the acappella that Aude and Almighty used (which I guess is not available).

The production on Edson, Gustavo, and Ranny's unofficial ones was pretty good, but the vocals totally ruin it. There are just too many stutters and effects in the Vicious vocals. I am all for effects to make it exciting and stuff, but for a song of this sort, less is more. It is possible (with significant difficulty) to filter a workable acapella of the Stonebridge mix. It's more like a padapella actually. Since the ad libs, key change and other good vocal elements are missing from that version, it's useful for filling in the parts that have too many effects. |
