I had the chance to hear previews of all of the songs, and the sad thing is that nearly 12 of the songs that we hadn't heard before are BETTER than the ones released as singles, save for "We Own The Night". I stand by my previous assessment of the album that the majority of the songs could have been better singles than the ones that were selected (I am talking about the UK edition). This is overall a solid record, and I found it to be better than their previous one Battleground and their self-titled debut. The EP that came before this for the U.S. market was nice as well.

Something tells me that the previous purchase of their singles won't be counting towards a "complete my album" on iTunes.

I actually like this; "Glow In The Dark" needs to be a single.

I haven't really been paying attention to them. I'm actually liking the album quite a bit.

I picked up the deluxe edition today because of the wonderful Drunk On Love, but I wasn't impressed as I was skimming through. I'll have to give the album a real listen to give full critique, but nothing jumped out at me.

The HITS prediction for the album had been 18-20k, but the actual number ended up being 17,168. I do hope it will at least be 18k with the Soundscan count.
Considering the current single flopped as hard as it did, missing the Hot 100 entirely because it go so little airplay and the sales never picked up, and they only did promo last week in the U.S., 17.1k is still better than my initial predictions of 500 to 2000 in the WOTN single topic in CHR/Pop. It is exactly half of what their EP debuted with last year. The EP has sold 196k to date.
There are some rumors circulating that the group is unhappy with the Scooter Braun's management for them. I have no idea how true it is, but some are claiming that the group themselves booked all those promotional appearances they did last week in the U.S. because their management would not. If that is true, that is really a shame that they aren't getting the support they needed. Even if they haven't been that successful with the other singles released since "Glad You Came", the least they can do is try and push the singles a little more, get them to do some strategic promo when the single is actually out. If you do nothing, of course it will flop!
At this point in time, I do not think any more singles should be released in the U.S. because if something seemingly as radio friendly as "We Own The Night" was couldn't do any more than it did, nothing else ever will.
There has also been some talk of another album being released early next year. One of their collaborations with Rita Ora is supposed to be on it.

This ended up debuting at #17 on the Billboard 200 and it fell to #144 this week. It's not surprising considering there is no single out now, no new promo, and the album is at full price now.

Yeah, I was at the Wherehouse Music last weekend and already found 2-3 used copies of it for sale. Isn't this their current single?

The album is pretty good. I also liked "Demons". But Show Me Love (America) is a song that I repeat a lot. The chorus is especially so pretty: "I can show you America/All the bright lights in the universe" is really quite majestic.

There are rumors that they have been dropped by their label and there will be no more singles from the album anywhere in the world. They announced earlier today that the European tour is canceled with no plans to re-schedule. The reason given was that Max George has some 'serious family matters' to deal with and can't be with the group for the tour at those times. The tabloids and gossip blogs are saying that he isn't doing the tour because Max is allegedly entering rehab. But some others are saying that he is away from the group because he is finalizing plans to embark upon a solo recording career and/or start acting in movies. There have been other rumors that Siva was apparently unhappy about getting less solos on most of the songs on the new album, and especially in the music videos. Siva is now engaged to be married. And other rumors about Nathan Sykes going solo have circulated too.

‘The Wanted’ arrive in Singapore to screaming fans: ‘Thanks to everyone’ (video) Jodi Jill December 30, 2013 The Wanted are back on the road. After leaving England, the guys made the long trip to Singapore for their next portion of work. Apparently Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes will be ringing in the New Year in Asia. While the guys might have been surprised, the fans were lined up on Monday waiting to see the band when their plane touched down. “The welcome in Singapore never gets old!! Thanks to everyone who came to the airport and for your amazing gifts. Love it here!!” tweeted Thomas Parker on Monday from his official Twitter account. The long flight might have been boring, but the scene at the airport was anything short than chaos. There were screams of delight when The Wanted stepped into the airport. Fans with signs were flipping them in the air to attract the attention of the band and there were fans running around everywhere. Looking to get a perfect shot with the cell phone (or convince one of the guys to stop) the moment was slightly chaotic. The Wanted has been known to cater to the fans and even after a long flight, they did just that. The delighted fans got to see the five member band up close and personal making the excursion to the airport worth the effort. Take a look at the video clip of The Wanted arriving in Singapore. The band will be on AM live performing this week too!

To put things into perspective, the record has so far sold around 40,000 copies in the UK - less than a single day's sales for One Direction's Midnight Memories. Oh, wow- that is really terrible. I knew they weren't doing well, but I had no idea they were flopping so spectacularly. Damn.

"Glow In The Dark" is the next (and possibly final) single. The Wanted are pleased to announce the release of their new video and single 'Glow In The Dark' taken from their November release 'Word of Mouth'. They are very excited to perform 'Glow In The Dark' along with their smash singles 'I Found You', 'Chasing The Sun', and 'Glad You Came', amongst others for their fans on their upcoming Word of Mouth Tour.
This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour's conclusion. The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour.

The detail about them still 'continuing' as a group later on definitely indicates that the group is breaking up, but they aren't saying it now. Expect a proper announcement about that after the tour concludes. I actually like this; "Glow In The Dark" needs to be a single. Now it's a reality!

Good. Now, the most talented member (clearly Nathan) can go solo! I will ALWAYS love We Own The Night, as it is one of my personal mottos.

Nathan may have some talent (keyword: some), but he's not attractive enough to be successful as a solo artist.
Just keeping it real.

Sad, but not surprised. Every single they've released post-Chasing the Sun has been beyond terrible.

And they apparently broke up for a while, but they might be getting back together. It was widely reported that Ariana cheated on her last boyfriend with Nathan and then she cheated on him with someone else too.

All the tea has now been spilled! Max attaxSinger reveals bitter rows are behind The Wanted's shock decision to split
While I am glad some of this did come out, it's shady as hell that Max did this before their final tour wraps up. Chances are that the other members will never speak to him again now that this out in the open. I would love to be a fly on the wall of their rehearsals just for a minute to see the real shit go down.

I never gave a shit about The Wanted, but Nathan has a great voice. I'd be interested in solo material if he went the R&B-pop route.

I never gave a s**t about The Wanted, but Nathan has a great voice. I'd be interested in solo material if he went the R&B-pop route. I think Max and Nathan will both flop hard as solo acts as no one is really checking for them. But maybe the fact that no one knew who they were before could help only slightly as they could try and pretend they are brand new. Nathan is one of the better singers of the group though.
