Wouldn't it be funny if OG stayed #1 for another week....ruining the new #1 every week streak we've been seeing lately.

This is an example of a re-release though. JTWYA is still in its original chart run, and if it returns to #1, it would have had a 6-week interruption. "Live Your Life" had a three-week interruption. (4 weeks total interruption since it rebounded twice.) FEM had a 2-week interruption. Nelly's Dilemma in 2002 had a 2-week interruption. Alicia Keys' Fallin' and J.Lo's I'm Real both had a 3-week interruption in 2001 when they see-sawed all summer at the top. Boyz II Men had a 2-week interruption in 1993 with On Bended Knee. Ace of Base had a 4 week interruption in 1994, when "The Sign" slid behind R. Kelly's "Bump 'N' Grind". It then returned for two more weeks. Oddly, that was the first song to slip from number one then return since Men At Work's "Down Under" in early 1983. Over a decade passed between them! With digital spikes it seems much more common these days. Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" also had a 3 week interruption in 2008 before returning back to #1.

I'm now hoping BEP have a big surge in sales just so...a certain far more horrible song won't get to #1.

Confirmed? I don't want to celebrate too early! No but does anyone else have a chance? We'll have to wait until Billboard comfirmed today. I'm 99.9% sure P!nk will get her 2nd #1

Didn't we get a confirmation for Rihanna before Billboard posted their article last week? I think it was some article from a columnist at Yahoo. Any idea where we can find that?

Look, I was almost positive that Lady Antebelleum's Need you Now was #1 but Rude Boy beat it out by what must have been less than 5 points. So until Billboard says otherwise, assume the WORST!!!!!

Billboard.com:
Over on the Digital Songs chart, the "Glee" cast takes a predictable tumble from No. 1, as its "Forget You" falls to No. 16 with 78,000 (down 59%). Meanwhile, its "Teenage Dream" hangs in at No. 48 (34,000; down 52%), marking the first "Glee" single to spend at least three weeks on the Digital Songs list since "Poker Face" racked a month back in June.
"Glee's" departure from No. 1 leaves us with a new topper in the form of Katy Perry's "Firework," which blasts 4-1 with its best week yet -- 232,000 (up 32%). P!nk's "Raise Your Glass" rises three rungs to No. 2 (209,000; up 22%) and Ke$ha's "We R Who We R" holds at No. 3 with 186,000.
There aren't any debuts in the top 10 this week, but two singles jump into the region. One's visiting for the first time while the other is making a return engagement -- and both are by the same artist. Bruno Mars' "Grenade" says hello to the top 10 as it explodes from No. 13 to No. 6 with 164,000 (up 64%) while his earlier single "Just the Way You Are" returns to the top 10 (up six to No. 8 with 126,000; up 44%). The latter benefits from the "Glee" cast's cover of the song on last week's show. "Glee's" rendition of "Just the Way" enters at No. 19 with 70,000.
The Digital Songs chart's highest debut this week comes from Enrique Iglesias' "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" at No. 13 with 97,000. That sum combines both the sales of this version and its explicit edition: "Tonight (I'm F*****' You)."
Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Nov. 28) totaled 10.24 million units, up 26% compared to the sum last week (8.12 million) and down 5% compared to the comparable sales week of 2009 (10.73 million). Year to date album sales stand at 272.02 million, down 13% compared to the same total at this point last year (311.71 million).
Digital track sales this past week totaled 22.16 million downloads, down 1% compared to last week (22.47 million) and up 12% stacked next to the comparable week of 2009 (19.79 million). Year to date track sales are at 1.023 billion, up less than 1% compared to the same total at this point last year (1.019 billion).

So, "Raise Your Glass" trails in sales by 23K- the BDS airplay difference should be enough. And, 'Raise Your Glass" has at least a 23K lead in sales over "Only Girl." Looks like another tight week.

If "Only Girl" is no. 7 on digital sales (287 points), it should be no threat to "Raise Your Glass" -- I don't think streaming can make up for the missing 15~20 points.

This week is either Pink's or Katy's, and I'm not so sure Pink will take it since Katy usually does really well with streaming...

i did some calculations using the sales we know, estimating sales of other contenders such as "Only Girl" based on it's iTunes position each week, and the last given sales numbers, and it seems like "Raise Your Glass" will most definitely be #1 with Firework #2 (very close in points)
Katy might get it with streaming though. The estimations I came up with have these results:
#1. P!nk - Raise Your Glass 302,000 #2. Katy Perry - Firework 295,000
