Drake Bell Files for Bankruptcy02/12/2014 at 03:05 PM EST PAUL A. HEBERT/STARTRAKS Drake Bell has filed for bankruptcy. The actor, who starred on Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh and alongside Amanda Bynes in The Amanda Show, owes $1.597 million, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE. Bell, 26, lists the value of his home at $1.575 million, according to the filing. He also claims he only makes $2,820 a month, and that his expenses are $18,771. TMZ broke the news of his bankruptcy. The actor, who has been on various TV movies and done voiceover work over the last few years, also has the films Jungle Shuffle and L.A. Slasher in the works, according to IMDB.com. The last time he was in the news was under happier circumstances: as was one of three finalists on the TV competition Splash last May.

In touring news (since he somehow is still promoting this), he just sold out two in-store shows. Not stadiums or anything, but given how he doesn't sell very much, it's impressive he still has dedicated fans that love these small shows he does.

Doing a charity concert. "Drake Bell was so moved after visiting the Pulse Nightclub memorial, he decided he needed to "do something" -- and that something is a benefit concert on August 14 in Orlando, Florida. The actor-turned-musician just got done touring the United States, and he told TooFab it was his show in Orlando that sparked both immense sadness and an itch to give back to the LGBTQ community, which was forever changed on June 12, 2016 after a man opened fire inside Pulse Nightclub. Forty-nine people were killed and 68 others were injured in the tragedy that became the deadliest mass shooting in United States history before the October 2017 Las Vegas concert attack took the unfortunate record. "We were just on tour in Florida, and as we were driving back from the airport, we had passed by Pulse," Drake said when he stopped by Studio TooFab this week. "That was such a -- it just hit home when that happened. But I hadn't actually been there and seen it afterwards, so we turned around and we got out and were just looking at everything... And we were just sitting there, and we were like, 'Dude, we should just do something. Like, what can we do? How can we [give back]?'" Drake said he called a few of his friends -- including a band member from We The Kings and singer-songwriter Kira Kosarin from Nickelodeon comedy series "The Thundermans" -- to pitch them his idea of putting on a benefit concert at The Abbey in Orlando, which is located 2 miles from the Pulse Nightclub memorial. Apparently, this album hit #23 on iTunes in Ireland according to Kworb. I think that was the highest peak on iTunes this hit, hitting the 300s in the US, 40s in Mexico, and I think it barely made the top 1000 in the UK.

I hope he can heal from the trauma of abuse. I watched the first two eps of the Nickelodeon expose because that's all I have access to, but I read Drake's account of what happened and...ugh. Those poor kids.
