On the charts, Billboard did distinguish the versions by putting: (Lea Michele Version) and (Chris Colfer version).

That's what I meant, 2 different versions of the same song, credited to the same artist. When this happens the tracks are usually combined (original version and remix, clean and dirty version, etc).

But in those cases, they aren't completely separate recordings; they are two versions of the same recording. These two tracks are credited to the same artist, and they are the same song, but they are completely different recordings of it. It's not just that someone came in and added a new beat, or that one is censored... there's no way you can start with one recording, modify it, and end up with the second.
