^Reports state that 3 other singers will be joining them. It might be similar to the Michael Jackson tribute last year.

It's extremely rare for Christina to duet for a tribute. The only televised tributes she's done that I remember has been James Brown, Etta James, Nina Simon, and Whitney Houston off the top of my head and those were solos. ??? I don't ever recall her doing a group tribute.
If so, I hope it's in the vain of "Four Women" that Jill Scott, Marsha, Kelly Price, and Ledisi did for Black Girls Rock! :o
Should be interesting. :)

Burlesque made $1.6m in New Zeland so far and there is no sign of it slowling down.....for comparisation sake Dreamgirls only did 400,000 there in it's entire run.

The final nail in her career coffin is coming No. Her career isn't over. She does need to fix it, though.

She needs to change her attitude if she's still being a bitch. Change the bleach blonde and red lipstick whorish look and most of all, restrain her vocals.

It might have been a publicity stunt to lure attention then comeback with a stellar performance at the Grammy. If she bombs the Grammys then blame it on the a-a-a-alcohol, baby and go to rehab.

I hope to God she redeems herself at the Grammy's.
I'm glad that the rehearsal for the NA was on yahoo earlier today. I hope it helped some people calm down.

Shes running out of options when you're at the bottom the only place you've got to go is up, and she hasn't even hit rock bottom yet. She has plenty of options. She may not be taking advantage of them right now but I doubt she's completely incapable of a recovery.

It seems that many big stars have experienced low career, Elvis, MJ, Madonna, Whitney, Mariah, Janet, Britney and now, Xtina. Only a few stars haven't experienced it, like Celine, Eminem, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, etc. But who knows what the future will be.

I am sure this post was fun for the last few days lol. I cannot believe how big that story became. Maybe its a sign of how busy I am, but I was like, oh she messed up a little, thats embarrassing, at least she hit a few good notes though. Then, the next day I literally heard 3 random groups of people discussing it in random hallways Oh well. Hopefully the Grammy performance goes over well. Probably won't because its an Aretha tribute so I am sure all of them will be screaming and, of course, people hate that. How much has Burlesque earned worldwide now?

The SB rehearsal audio, which is more laid back, is making its way on the radio and even snarky DJs have to admit that its pretty darn good. (Consenus: wish she had sang it that way -- much restrained.)

Well, I'm sure many people are still interested in Xtina, remember, in 2001-2002, many people believed that Mariah was over, who predicted that Mariah could make a huge comeback in 2005? In 2006-2007, many people believed that Britney was over, who predicted that Britney could make a huge comeback in 2008? now, many people believe that Xtina is over. who knows she cna make a huge comeback in the future? ;)

LA TIMES: Christina Aguilera flubs her lyrics in style
"Last Sunday's Super Bowl XLV show gave viewers plenty to buzz about: the highly anticipated commercials, the Black Eyed Peas "Tron"-inspired halftime show, and, oh yeah, a football game.
But who knew Christina Aguilera's rendition of our national anthem would be what lingered on people's minds well after the game was over?
Yes, she botched the lyrics, and it was painful to watch because the national anthem is one of those songs you learn when you're old enough to speak and it just sticks with you (or, perhaps, with most of us). And yes, she really did merge a couple of lines, singing, "What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last gleaming." But the truth is, not only did Aguilera sound great singing the wrong lyrics in front of a packed Cowboys Stadium, she's never looked better.
For someone who usually goes for the tightest, lowest neck-plunging minis and awards gowns, it was refreshing to see the "Burlesque" star in a conservative, appropriate Dolce & Gabbana black suit and stockings. For her shoes she chose sky-high, sparkly red Christian Louboutin Calypso pumps. (She could have just been trying to add a little flair with the dramatic shoes, but I like to think Aguilera was showing the world that the fearless wild child who sang "Dirty" is still in there.)" :)

No More Fumbling! Christina Aguilera to Sing for Redemption at Grammy Awards "She's either a glutton for punishment or damn well out for redemption. Either way, this Sunday's Grammy Awards may just have a ratings smash on its hands. Hot off of what turned out, unfortunately for her, to be the most-watched lyrics flub in the history of the medium, Christina Aguilera is dusting herself off and getting right back up on stage this weekend. Since a reprise of the national anthem is no doubt out, what will Christina be singing? Well, let's just say R-E-S-P-E-C-T is something Aguilera could do with a bit more of these days. The Grammy winner will be joining forces with the ever fierce (and fab looking) Jennifer Hudson, country cutie Martina McBride, Yolanda Adams and a Machine-free Florence Welch for a special tribute to Grammy Legend Award recipient Aretha Franklin. Both together and individually the five ladies will take to the stage to recreate the Queen of Soul's biggest hits at the top of the show. Since it goes without saying that Christina's pipes will serve her well, here's hoping her memory does, too. The 53rd annual awards show airs Sunday night on CBS." uk.eonline.com/uberblog/b225094_no_more_fumbling_christina_aguilera.html#ixzz1DTpmG5YsChristina is going to be the hottest topic at this years Grammys (even with no nominations). LEGEND.

I'm loving all the praise articles. I'm starting to think this was the best unintentional press she's EVER received. ;)

Fact is I honestly don't buy into the whole "the public hates her" lie being passed around. Most people I speak to don't give a f**k about her personally and simply think she's a pretty talented vocalist. Her material last era was s**t she wasn't doing much for her image with the Lady Gaga controversy. I she cuts the crap and releases good material and promotes it properly, I don't see why she can't make a comeback. Ok, we already known you hate Christina but..you're so annoying now..... not that I don't agree but pot, meet kettle.
