I hate the pic of her in the bottom of the word Burlesque And I hate the pic of her in the bottom of the word Christina. I thought the cover to the soundtrack was really pretty. They could have stuck with that for the cover of the movie too. |

OMG BUrlesque is officially at 10,3 millions in Australia right now and still holding strong and the movie should have passed 90 millions WW by now...

From TMZ  Christina Aguilera was arrested early this morning along with her boyfriend in West Hollywood, TMZ has learned. Christina was popped for public intoxication and her boyfriend was arrested for driving under the influence. Aguilera was arrested at 2:45 AM and booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff's substation on a misdemeanor charge. On the booking report, Aguilera was listed at 5'2" and 100 pounds. Aguilera's 25-year-old boyfriend Matthew Rutler was also arrested last night at the same time for a misdemeanor offense. According to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, Rutler's bail was set at $30,000. Law enforcement sources tell us Aguilera appeared to be "extremely intoxicated" and was "unable to take care of herself." However, the source adds, "If the driver had NOT been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble." Sources close to Xtina tell us they have been trying to get the singer into a rehab program for weeks |

Yes indeed. If these reports from "sources" claiming that she is losing/has lost control and in need of rehab, I seriously worry for her that she is headed down a similar path to Britney Spears. I hope that the folks surrounding and advising her have good intentions and are able to steer her down the right direction, such that she can pick herself up from her own personal and professional woes. On another note, I hope that the Pulse lynch mob is not in full force in the coming days...... |

So clarification, Christina was "not technically arrested" but kept until she sobered up: Christina Aguilera was taken into custody early Tuesday morning in West Hollywood "for her own safety" due to intoxication, according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.
The Sheriff's Department tells ET that the Grammy winner was taken into custody for her own safety because she was intoxicated and nobody else could take care of her. They brought her in until she sobered up.
The Sheriff's Department adds that Aguilera was not technically arrested and is still in custody, and will be leaving soon. ^^ I hope that Christina is picked as a judge for the proposed NBC talent show "The Voice" because she has the credibility to judge folks' voices, since she is widely recognized as possessing one of the best voices of her generation.
If Jennifer Lopez, an artist 10+ years old than Christina and an artist whose radio and record hits are far more distant than Christina, can make a multimedia career resurgence (television ads, Idol, and music), Christina should be able to given her vocal talent. A television show like 'The Voice' could serve as a great stepping stone to such a return.

Christina must be somewhat charismatic if people who hate her literally cannot stay away from her and talk about her about as much or more than her fans. Any appearance on a show would surely result in this even more with people pretty much camping out to scream snide, immature comments at her non-stop. That means ratings though!
If police find you really drunk they have to take you in for your own safety almost more than anything else. Like, if she was basically nearly unconscious you cannot just stick her in a taxi and say good luck. We have a quite sizable drunk tank at our jail for this reason. Hopefullly, this is her hitting her lowest point.
