I don't understand why she would get in a car with a drunk driver risking her own life. I know she was inebriated too, but that's being irresponsible on both their parts.

Yeah I really don't see the hate against her in just normal life that I do on Pulse or ONTD. And I basically only see the real hate and non-stop posting about how much people hate her on Pulse and ONTD-not even other sites. Like, even about her Grammy performance-literally every comment I heard was positive until I came on here and then it was "forced" or she was shown up by the other girls or she looked like a pig.
Anyway, back the the arrest, I HATE drunk driving. That disappoints me more than anything else. You have enough money to hire a driver rather than get in a vehicle with someone else drunk. I am assuming she was too drunk to think rationally though. Stupid-if you know both of you are drinking hire someone. Its easy and even easier having resources to do it.

^Believe me, the negativity is VERY strong towards her on many other sites. I guess it's mostly the fan sites that Christina made what they term 'offensive' remarks towards their favorite artist.

I am assuming she was too drunk to think rationally though. The fact that a 30 year old mother of young child would be inebriated enough to lose the common sense and responsibility to be a passenger to a drunk driver not only worries me about her current state but also concerns me about her plummeting image in the public (and the net). If he is the bad influence of her that he appears to be, I do hope she drops her current beau for her own good. First and foremost, if she is current having psychological issues, for her and her son's sake, I hope that she gets whatever help she needs whether it is with addiction therapy and/or psychological/psychiatric therapy before she re-focuses on her career. Britney Spears is a great example as a contemporary (and friend of hers) who hit a much lower point but was able to rebound and strongly return back to her music career. I feel confident that Christina is still young enough that if she took some time to take care of herself, the music industry (and even the ageist and ever-fickle pop audience) would give her a chance if/when she decides to return.

I haven't visited a fan site for almost a decade so maybe that is the issue LOL. I only visit general music sites like Pulse or social networking sites (twitter, facebook). Part of me still doesn't believe that the beginning of the non-stop hatred and bashing was just her saying something mean about someone's artist years ago. Like, I could not care less about that stuff so its hard for me to understand? I was about to say maybe if she came to my door and attacked my boyfriend or mother I would understand, but maybe that is the point. To some people, their favorite artists ARE like intimate family like a mother or sibling.

I am not really a person who thinks having a kid means you have to sit at home with your hands tucked in your lap. I am not immediately sold that she is a horrible mom because she got really drunk away from Max. I see tons of pictures of her sober doing mom things during the day and when she has custody of Max. If she gets drunk while he is with daddy I don't think its an issue. The drunk driving is more of a concern to me-college students pull that s**t, not rich adults. I don't think her public image will be damaged further than it already is, but it is probably bad timing. Hopefully this marks her being a bit more careful about her image.

I really hope this is a wake up call for her. Get your act together Christina! Things are just getting from bad to worse. She needs Jordy back or some good old rehab therapy.

If she gets drunk while he is with daddy I don't think its an issue. I think you misunderstood my point. I am in no way questioning her competence as a mother since I know nothing about her. Similarly and naturally, she is a young gal and is completely entitled like any person of any age to have her fun within the constraints of the law. What bothers me is that she was so inebriated that she entered the car of a drunk driver, something EXTREMELY careless and irresponsible because she has a young child waiting for her when she gets home. When a celebrity like Lindsay Lohan (in a ENTIRELY different category than Christina) acts irresponsibly, she puts herself (and the general public if driving intoxicated) in danger, but at least she is not responsible for a little one. I am very sensitive to folks like Britney Spears and Christina because they are not just responsible for themselves. She is creating a case for at least partially losing custody of her son. Hopefully, that clarifies my point.

Whitmore says Rutler's mugshot will be released soon. However Aguilera's won't be released because in her case, "there was no intent to commit a crime."

She keeps sinking lower. ;/, it's just sad to watch. It's all calculated to give her a "rise from the ashes" moment. How do you stage a comeback!? Sink lower & lower as publically as possible, do a stint in a Malibu Resort Rehab, record a power ballad about finding your own stength or make a 60 minute documentary where you play the victim of your own fame.

That does make it more clear-the getting in the car with a drunk driver is what bothers me the most. Its just irresponsible and unnecessary. I am not saying I have never done it before, but it was stupid and could have led to really disastrous endings. I am the safest drinker ever now-if I don't have a guaranteed safe way home I do not drink at all. I am hoping this is a wake up call.

i feel bad for her but she's so irresponsible for this....her bf is obviously leading her down a bad path and there was a blind item that seemed like it was about her and how he's just using her for money (k-fed basically).
its sad that she has not one person (family or friends) who she could call her take care of her....

Christina must be somewhat charismatic if people who hate her literally cannot stay away from her and talk about her about as much or more than her fans. Any appearance on a show would surely result in this even more with people pretty much camping out to scream snide, immature comments at her non-stop. That means ratings though! If police find you really drunk they have to take you in for your own safety almost more than anything else. Like, if she was basically nearly unconscious you cannot just stick her in a taxi and say good luck. We have a quite sizable drunk tank at our jail for this reason. Hopefullly, this is her hitting her lowest point. 100% agree. I actually do not think she has even a fraction of the negativity and hate towards her by the general public as compared to this (or possibly other) internet music forums. I believe that the public finds her a bit racy but recognizes her massive vocal talent. Perhaps, I am just biased... ??? I never hear anyone compliment her voice in real life. Co-workers, family members, friends, passerby, etc. They all say she screams and overdoes it with the adlibs. ESPECIALLY in response to whenever she sings the national anthem or covers other act's songs.

Spotted: Cops outside of Christina Aguilera's home. It wouldn't be surprising if she called them there to control the paparazzi. twitter.com/celebsspotted
