EXCLUSIVE: CHRISTINA AGUILERA TO BE FEATURED IN KATE WINSLET'S NEW BOOK FOR AUTISM AWARENESS
Simon & Schuster will publish The Golden Hat, a book by Oscar-winner Kate Winslet that will feature self-portraits of celebrities and other notable persons, including Winslet herself, all wearing a “magical” hat. The title and concept were inspired by a poem by Keli Ericsdottir, a boy suffering from a severe case of non-verbal autism whom Winslet met while narrating the documentary A Mother’s Courage: Talking Back to Autism. The poem describes a hat that enables an autistic boy to communicate with others. Winslet’s book tells the story of her friendship with the Ericsdottir family and includes Keli’s poetry and writings. The photographed celebrities will each reflect on what their first words would be if they were suddenly able to communicate after years of silence. The list of celebrities who will be donning the magic hat includes Anna Wintour, Ben Stiller, Brigitte Lacombe, Christina Aguilera, David Souffan, Demi Moore, Don Cheadle, Elijah Wood, Ellen Page, Javier Bardem, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jude Law, Julianne Moore, Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Laura Dern, Liev Schreiber, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Maria Sharapova, Marion Cottillard, Meryl Streep, Michael Kors, Naomi Watts, Pedro Almodovar, Peter Sarsgaard, and Ricky Gervais. The book is planned for November 2011. Source: EntertainmentWeekly

I have just seen Burlesque. My expectations were very low, but I ended up enjoying it. I mean, the story was cheap as hell, but, hey, Cher and Christina obviously gave it their all. Especially surprised with Christina's acting, definitely better than, say, Mariah or Britney.

Ladytron: 'Label f**ked up Aguilera LP'Ladytron have claimed that Christina Aguilera's latest album was "f**ked up" by her record label. The Liverpool-based electronic group, who worked on the singer's last album Bionic, said the original version of the LP was different to the final cut, and believe the label wanted to market her against Lady GaGa. Daniel Hunt told After LD: "The way she played the album to me was her original vision. She was on the right track but the record label f**ked up everything to be honest. "All the good stuff got pumped into disc two. I think that if she would have done what she had in mind it would have been better. I also think that with what she had in mind she could have [sidestepped] all the kind of potential comparison with Lady GaGa which, you know, at the time it was that nightmare for her. He added: "She would have done it in the smart way and she would have been renowned now, but her record label instead wanted to put her against [GaGa]." www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a311423/ladytron-label-fked-up-aguilera-lp.html

I do think some of her best material from "Bionic" was on the bonus. I was confused about that so what she said makes sense.

This is a 'news story' that is from aLD. So I find it very hard to believe and even more than that, the story in general sounds far fetched.

I do think some of her best material from "Bionic" was on the bonus. I was confused about that so what she said makes sense. I agree with that to a certain extent. I think some of the songs on the main album could have been replaced with some on the second disc. A few of the songs on the main disc fit in within the context of the album, but on their own, they were just . We aren't privy to the happenings behind the scenes in the lead-up to the album's release so for all we know, the original version of it might have been different than the one that was actually released.

If flopped even with all the material available. Xtina pushed for You Lost Me and that was a bigger flopped then the canceled record label choice for second single Woo Hoo. The public just was not interested.

I don't get why everyone is saying OMG YEAH RIGHT HA HA. I thought it was pretty common knowledge that the version that got released was very different from the version that was the "original" one. The original release date was much earlier before Christina headed back into the studio again to record again. Now, I don't know if that particular interview is "true." I also don't know if the original version of the cd would have been better-it could have sucked for all we know. I just usually think the original vision is the better one rather than the over-thinking that can go into waiting too long and continuously re-recording. I would pretty much kill to hear the original vision for the cd-I would really like to know if it WAS better or not. I am not just talking bonus cd stuff-many other songs and collaborations were shelved entirely.
Obviously, I think the backlash she experienced would have put a damper on any era though-she could have released the stone cold best pop cd of the year and people would have hated her anyway and not bought it. I think Bionic original or Bionic what was released would have flopped either way.
It will be interesting to see what the next step is. Clearing up the image issue is the first step which is a tricky one. Pretty much nothing she can do or say will go over well. If she saved a kitten's life people would say she did it to be a bitch somehow. Like, what do you do when the hated image is that ingrained and so many people literally hate the person so everything just ends up supporting that image, fair or not? My first step would be makeover! Beyond that, I would not want to be her marketing/image team.

The Voice looks ridiculous. I have no doubt it's going to be a huge flop. They should have just provided them with a gong instead of that stupid red button.

Besides her look, I just can't stand the way she walks, talks, her mannerisms, the way she curls her lips etc. As for her music I liked her first CD; after that I only liked a few songs here and there and have never found her voice to be pleasing (other than on her first CD and a few songs after that)

I doubt NMT and WooHoo would have even been on the album had she released the album as she originally intended. It still wouldn't have been fantastic, but a lot less messier than what we got.

Fact check required! -D I knew that the interview was fake.

I doubt NMT and WooHoo would have even been on the album had she released the album as she originally intended. It still wouldn't have been fantastic, but a lot less messier than what we got. You mean released it before she started working on Burlesque? Probably not- after all she said that after filming the movie she didn't feel like herself hence her releasing NMT. To me it seems that she bloats her albums up to compensate for taking such long breaks in between each release. So I believe that even if those two songs weren't on the LP two other ones would be. Basically it still wouldn't have been 'short and sweet' as it was supposed to have been.
