Sia and Christina being friends is really cute. I love Sia on twitter (well, in addition to her music). She seems like a sweetheart.

^ YES! She needs to give us another song in the vein of Fighter!
And no, Christina, you didn't release Bionic too soon; you released it about two years too late!

I admit, I'm not at enthused about RockTina.....I want a soul/blues album. But if she does go rock, I hope Linda gives her a song like Pink's "Catch Me While I'm Sleeping".

Christina just has to top everybody. She has to try and top everyone is more like it. I like that she is doing the rock thing...I wonder if it will resemble Kelly Clarkson or P!nk Songs like Fighter would be hits now...I think...so working with Perry is a must. IMO.

Interview from the press conference today....
Christina Aguilera hasn’t had a picture-perfect start to 2011. In the midst of her divorce from husband Jordan Bratman, she flubbed the lyrics to the National Anthem during this year’s Super Bowl, which was followed by her on-stage fall at the Grammys. And in early March, the singer was arrested, along with boyfriend Matt Rutler, for public intoxication.
Now, Aguilera is trying to get back to basics, joining Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as a judge on NBC’s latest reality show, The Voice. And who better to judge a vocal competition show than the ultimate pop vocalist herself?
Aguilera told a group of reporters Monday that she isn’t going to shy away when it comes to talking about her recent downfalls. In fact, Aguilera wants to share all of her experiences (good and bad) with the contestants of the show as she acts as a mentor and coach.
“I think it’s the perfect time in my life [to do this show] because in light of the past year, there’s been obvious setbacks. I’ve gone through a really hard divorce, and anyone who has gone through a divorce will speak about how hard the journey is from start to finish. It’s a life-uprooting time and there have been hiccups along the way that unfortunately the whole world gets to witness and judge.
“I can laugh about my own hiccups and my own experiences in life because I’m getting through it. But I get to share these experiences with these people and I get to say not every performance day is going to be a great day. Sometimes you could be having the worst day of your life and you have to get up on that stage and you have to give to your fans in a way that they would never know the difference. You have to lose yourself in that moment and you have to be so involved. Take yourself out of your own headspace or use whatever you’re going through and put it into the passion of your song.”
Mistakes are a part of life. “If you make a mistake, you know what? You’re human and you’re going to catch flack for it and that’s just the way it is. The best thing at the end of the day is that you can prove to not only everyone else, but most importantly yourself, that you’re strong enough to get back up on that stage and be fearless enough to try again and know within yourself that it will be better.”
She’s ready to open up about the past year. “I think that’s the most important thing for me to do is to talk about my hiccups and the ups and downs in my career, especially in light of the past year. There have been things that have happened on stage that any performer can absolutely relate to and I’m so happy that I get to share these moments with them in such an intimate environment. I’m actually revealing a lot about myself during this show and a side of myself that I think a lot of people have never seen before, that only my closest friends see when the cameras go off. I just wanted to approach this show very openly. I’m human, too, and people make mistakes and go through things in life and I’m definitely taking that into the show.”
Keeping her fellow judges in line. “I think I’ve taken on the mama role at times because these are boys that speak their minds and sometimes get off track of what we’re there to do. We’re having fun up there and we’re having a blast together and feeding off of each other. The guys have been really fun, but I think that I have to bring a prop to set or something to keep these boys in line. Maybe a few slaps on the hands. I feel like the school teacher in the classroom of naughty boys at times. But they’re actually really hilarious. They keep me laughing a lot.”
Will fans get to hear her famous voice? “On the opening show there is a performance between the four of us. It was fun, almost a jam session between four artists. And you will have opportunities, even through my coaching, where I might get involved in singing a song and telling them a way I want it to be heard. You will hear me sing on the show.”
On The Voice’s blind audition process. “What’s great about this show is that we take it back to real music. We take it back to before there was any such thing as an MTV or any way to show an artist through video, Internet or packaging. It’s about going back to when you wanted to buy music purely by what sounds good to your ears. The first episode is complete blind auditions where the contestants are singing their hearts out and you’re judging them based on being moved by something in their vocal ability. That’s what’s so special about this show.”
Voices that move Christina. “Someone who always made that come across in a contemporary way was Lauryn Hill. I’m so driven to her voice and the way she uses it. Her soul and her passion always come across, even in a pop song on the radio. Jennifer Hudson has a beautiful voice and I truly enjoy working with her and we became friends after [performing at the Grammys]. She’s such a cool, down to earth person. She definitely has some pipes and it’s effortless for her to hit those notes. It’s a beautiful thing to watch. And Adele, I think she has a really cool something that’s going on right now.”
On her recent tweet to Britney Spears, congratulating her on her new album, Femme Fatale. “I haven’t heard the whole thing in its entirety, I’ve been really hard on work on this show, but I am a huge supporter of her because both of our careers started off together and are still going strong. I think it’s extremely important to be supportive of fellow artists and especially females, who often get pitted against each other and torn apart. As an old friend of mine from the Mickey Mouse club, I think it’s important at this stage in the game to really show my support.”
Her son three-year-old son Max isn’t ready to see mom in action. “He doesn’t really like to see mommy in work mode quite yet. He’s so used to when he sees mommy, I’m in mommy mode, and mommy mode is all about Max. So as he grows up, he’ll understand that side of mommy as a good example of being positive and driven and focused. But for now, he definitely wants mommy all to himself!”

Great interview for her. She sounded humble and honest.
I really hope this show can be a turning point for her in her little public spiral.

Great interview for her. She sounded humble and honest. I really hope this show can be a turning point for her in her little public spiral. I hope so as well, although one part of the interview rubbed me the wrong way (in the same way she referred to Lady Gaga during her 'Bionic' promo radio interviews): "And Adele, I think she has a really cool something that’s going on right now.”

Oh please. That wasn't a negative comment towards Adele in the LEAST. Wasn't it good enough of her to say something nice about Britney, someone against whom she has always been pitted?

So what lady gaga was a newcomer. Christina referred herself as a newcomer (in acting) when making burlesque

Oh Christina is the master of the backhanded compliment. She always finds a way to big herself up and demean others, however subtle. Like she's observing from the top or something. Not necessarily always intentional, but it just doesn't sound good.
