Does anyone remember when Christina did have darker blonde hair and then a reddish brown color for like, five seconds? She looked AMAZING with it. I honestly think a darker blonde would be best for her. She obviously adores blonde, but make it a natural looking blonde. I loved the reddish brown color too, but she kept it for like, a month and one photoshoot so I don't think she liked it :( Yes! She had it on Ellen. And gave an amazing performance: Also, here's audio of Carson Daly shutting down any 'diva' rumors going on at the set of The Voice:

Ahh...I loved that Elle shoot. I'm more ehh about Christina's actually hair style as oppose to the color. She needs to retire the big ratty weaves and go for a more low maintenance cut like the bob she sported late 09 and for several months in 2010 imo

I agree Jazzy-I think her style is making the color seem worse. I liked the bob, but I also liked when it was just long, straight, and healthier looking. Like, some of the promos that came out before the cd/Burlesque where she looked insanely young and hot and healthy before it all went to hell and the Bionic look took over.
I literally HATED some of her performance looks for that era. Ug.

The Bionic/Burlesque era from the hair to many of the ensembles were just a hot mess (I am not here for sparkly leggings, hot pants and tiaras). The Voice seems to be going well for Christina and that's great. It's unfortunate that she didn't take full advantage of being seen on tv every week with a fresh new look but I digress. Here's hoping that the next era she pulls it all together.

She's been in the studio with Sandy Vee (Only Girl + Fireworks). So glad she's gone back to working on a new album :)

Hopefully she actually changes things up this time and doesn't take a millennium to release a new album.

I love how his whole discography is basically Smash, Smash, Smash, etc. I wouldn't mind a collabo with StarGate mixed into since they make #1s with Sandy Vee.

Hopefully she actually changes things up this time and doesn't take a millennium to release a new album. Honestly, I really believe we'll have a new album within the next year or so. She just recorded with Sandy Vee and is going to be working with DJ Premier very soon. Sia has also mentioned working with Christina again for the new record. Sounds like everything is in motion. I will be utterly shocked if there isn't a new CD by the end of next year.

End of next year is far too long off. She should be in motion to have the album out by Spring/Summer next year.

I agree. She needs a single out by September/October. She's in the perfect position to launch a comeback.

I agree. She needs a single out by September/October. She's in the perfect position to launch a comeback. This would be ideal, but knowing how long Christina can take with projects... 'The Voice' finishes at the end of June. They could hype up a new single during July, release it to radio in August and then have her do a premiere performance at the VMAs at the end of the month. Album could drop sometime in late October (a la 'Stripped'). Highly doubtful, but you never know with Christina. She seems hungry to make new music and I think this could potentially be a defining era if she plays her cards right.

That's what she needs to do. She doesn't even have to be done recording (at least 75% should be complete.) Release a SMASH first single that will ride the radio waves for about 2 months to help her complete the album and than release a 2nd single just before the album drops around the end of November.

Yep-she needs a cd at the end of this year. Everything is coming together for her to have a comeback right now. Even waiting until next year feels like some of her positive hype will be gone. Also, most major pop stars won't be releasing new cds at that point. It is actually looking like a lighter holiday release schedule which would work in her favor (well, except for if every pop artist decides to do a re-release and since that is common now it is possible). Other artists record entire cds in like, two months and she has been working since January on new music. She has had time. I know it seems unrealistic given her release schedule in the past, but she has also never, ever had a flop cd before. She and her label should make getting her career back on track a priority and capitalize on The Voice's positive attention. I am not so worried about weight because she is absolutely tiny-she probably really only needs to lose 10-15 and with a strict diet/exercise that could come off in a month. It looks like she has lost recently to me anyway. I also love Sia and Christina together. Cutest friendship EVER. LOL at this reaction to one of the singers on The Voice i52.tinypic.com/2a8lw0j.gif

I agree she needs a single in July or August and an album in October or November. A Q4 release and holiday sales will really help her. She is in the perfect position to launch a serious comeback and make people forget about Bionic. She cannot wait until next year.

^ This.
That's why I think she wants to work with the "hit making" producers first that will get her some major radio airplay while she records more of the "organic" or "album cuts" that will round out the rest of the album. Brilliant move.

Yep-I am happy with the line up so far for the cd. Good mix of current producers (who also have a little bit of versatility) and ones that have produced solid work for her in the past or really work well with her (DJ Premier and Sia)

I would be truly shocked if she didn't drop something before the end of the year.
The days of her taking her time seem to be over. If she does I am afraid she will be forgotten.
