I hope they are able to rekindle that magic between the both of them. They both seem to be on that humble path this time around. Jonh Hill and Switch also need to be involved too because what they did for her on Bionic was insane. Elastic Love still tops out as my favorite track from last year. Add Premo to the mix with about 3 maximum Linda Perry tracks and we are looking at a classic. She also needs to only put about 14 tracks on the standard album and let loose on the deluxe edition. For most people Bionic seemed to drag because of the various interludes, etc.

I'm sure his ego is under control now. He filed for bankruptcy in 2009. He hasn't had a top 10 hit since Fat Joe's "Make it Rain" in 2006 and even that was his only top 10 that year. He definitely peaked in the early part of the last decade. Even though Scott hasn't been making radio/download hits as of late, one only has to look to "Side Effects" by Mariah to see that he is still capable of greatness. I would love something like that song for X-tina. I haven't seen The Voice yet (I had it set on my DVR but when I was out of the country, my DVR erased it so I just gave up) but it seems like the show is helping to restore her image. Smart move! |

The place where that is coming from is not a source capable of producing something timeless & great. Jealous performers are too self-conscious to submit themselves fully to a song. She has it in her to be great again, but it's going to take some soul searching and better judgment. If she's still trying to convince people that it's unfair her album flopped while Lady Gaga has the biggest pop sales in a decade, she's probably not confident enough to bring her audience a fantastic listening experience. |
