..again...why are u talking about Gaga now?! -.- Because as I learn more about Lady Gaga, I'm struck by how obnoxious Christina is to her. The place where that is coming from is not a source capable of producing something timeless & great. Jealous performers are too self-conscious to submit themselves fully to a song. She has it in her to be great again, but it's going to take some soul searching and better judgment. If she's still trying to convince people that it's unfair her album flopped while Lady Gaga has the biggest pop sales in a decade, she's probably not confident enough to bring her audience a fantastic listening experience. OK I'm lost. Where can I find this 20 minute rant? |

A phenomenal artist can sell a song like no other. When performing, we're at our best when firmly committed to the song. That connection gets severed when the performer loses focus on the song and instead focuses on the self. They may get nervous, feel pressured to add unnecessary runs etc. and a trained ear and other performers can hear when the connection is gone. Some performances fall into place like magic (like when she sang You Lost Me on Idol and Lift Me Up for Haiti). During others, the artist is so caught up in showing off that the song itself is lost if not destroyed (Star Spangled Banner for instance). I know there are a lot of fan wars on this site and it's tempting for low-tiered brains to broadly dismiss all criticism as "hate," but I'm a longtime diehard fan of Christina ready to give up on her entirely. My comments here are for smart people who enjoy discussion. No one else need reply. |

Did she bash Gaga more? I literally only remember one comment made in like, 2007 or 2008 that wasn't even that bad. It confuses me why people are so obsessed with it. I am a huge Gaga fan too so it isn't like I hate her so I am ok with bashing her or something.
I do agree that I don't think Christina sold the Bionic era as well as she could have-it was a miscalculated era. However, loads of artists have that type of era where things just do not work. Gaga is selling big now, but 10 years down the line she could definitely have that Oops era where nothing works. It happens to the best of them and I will give Christina another chance to wow me. It already sounds like she is in a better place to make a cd working with better people and trying to understand what made people love her in the first place. She is already working on problems areas that troubled her during Bionic. Everything I have heard about the new cd excites me because it is Christina getting back to the creative space that made fabulous music before. Hopefully, it will make for a great cd and a great era.

The second time ("Oh the newcomer? She's fun to look it."), it didn't bother me too much but I thought, "alright, that's not helping you." And now a year later, she launched into a 10 minute tirade on The Voice about why she's superior to Gaga. The shoot had to be redone. When that happens, it tells me that Christina Aguilera doesn't understand that there's more to art than having a technically superior voice. I find that naive. An artist lacking wisdom, reflection, and judgment is not someone I expect to impress me any time soon. I would she builds character and then makes good use of her incredible natural talent. |

Lol the 10 minute tirade was fake. The source was the shadiest source ever and we had people at the taping say that was complete bullshit. It was basically made up by Perez because he hates her.
So, the only two bashes were the newcomer comment and the I don't know who she is comment both of which were quite a long time ago.
I hate fake, made up news stories-people believe them and it sucks.
