Her voice sounded good! Best I've heard it all year. :)

It definitely sounds like she has improved. I wonder if she has even gotten some pointers from someone. I never really believed "she lost her abilities" like people claim, but rather just has some bad singing habits that some work could fix.

That's why I was glad she skipped the E5 in Candy Man. All I think she needs is to rest her voice and to actually get some singing lessons.... Although I love her voice, her constant bad techniques has caused her voice damage and causes her to lose out on resonance during her mid-upper belts. She also lacks vibrato because she "squeezes" out her belts.

^ And she's only about 30 years old, such a short time to have vocal degradation.

It was just something different going on. Her resonance is affected because of the throaty singing.

It was just something different going on. Her resonance is affected because of the throaty singing. Definitely, she just needs to relax her throat and stop straining. If she can't hit a note without straining, she should skip it, or take it down a notch. She really needs to be smart about her voice now, because she will be in a bad vocal state by her late 30s and I'm sure she will want to be able to sing well into her 50s and 60s. ^ And she's only about 30 years old, such a short time to have vocal degradation. It's a shame, but not too late. If she takes lessons, relaxes her voice and stops hitting outside of her comfortable range, her voice will be fine. I'm hoping she'll do just that in preperation for her next album. :)

Watching Burlesque. I like it! She was good in it. Even though I don't really like old tracks being tacked on to new albums, I wouldn't be upset if Bound To You somehow made it's way onto her next album as a "bonus track". Lol.

Throwback! I hope she incorporates more of an R&B/soul sound to her next record. I love how she did this on WAGW.

Christina Aguilera and Selena Gomez will be battling it out at the 2011 Alma Awards. The goddesses picked up three nominations each to lead the pack with the most nominations this year! Jennifer Lopez also nabbed a nod, but estranged hubby Marc Anthony seems to have been snubbed.
Both Selena and Christina picked up nominations in the Favorite Female Music Artist and Favorite Movie Actress (Comedy/Musical) categories.

Christina also was recognized in the favorite TV Reality, Variety, or Comedy Personality or Act category for her gig on The Voice, while Selena was nominated for Favorite TV Actress – Leading Role in a Comedy for her famous part on Wizards of Waverly Place.
In the category of Favorite Male Music Artist: Taio Cruz, Enrique Iglesias, Bruno Mars, Ricky Martin and Pitbull.
Marc Anthony was not nominated this year, but J.Lo was, in the category of Favorite Female Music Artist opposite Christina, Selena, Naya Rivera and Shakira.
The annual award show honors Latinos in the entertainment field and will be hosted by Eva Longoria and George Lopez September 16 on NBC!

I love that she is still raking in millions even during her "flop" era. Must be nice.

She's on tour? ??? When did that happen? :o I came in here just to say that "You Lost Me" and "Lift Me Up" are amazing. Just watched the YLM in its entirety for the first time and it's a shame it didn't get any Grammy love though the visuals of NMT tainted the entire era. Speaking of which, I rewatched that video as well to see if it was really as bad as it was deemed or if people were just exaggerating and...it was even worse than I remembered. I don't know what she was thinking with that, it's so corny. Hopefully she does her this time, no more of the weird theme/concept albums.

Xtina to collaboarte with Eminem for her new album!!! Christina Aguilera is calling on the power of Eminem to come help her with a single for her 2012 album according to M is For Music After seeing the success Rihanna enjoyed after her duet with Em, the albino Snooki is trying to recapture the same magic. ‘Bionic’ was about as good as a flaccid basketball and Aguilera is playing nice with the rapper to create a “killer song” to boost interest in her 5th album. “Christina knows after her last album bombed that she would have to do something special for fans to be interested in her music again. It’s a killer track and is bound to be a massive worldwide hit if released as a single, which is exactly what Christina is hoping for. She can’t wait to release the record and prove all her critics wrong.” They originally had a feud that started in 2000. Em took stabs at Aguilera in his single for “The Real Slim Shady” and insinuated that she performed oral copulation on Carson Daly and Fred Durst. She fired back with a parody of the song, “Will the Real Slim Shady Please Shut Up,” after reps called his allegations false and complete crap. Christina then insisted that they settled their feud backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2002. hollywooddame.com/2011/08/03/christina-aguilera-and-e... :o

'Will The Real Slim Shady Please Shut Up?' isn't even her. I wouldn't mind a Christina/Eminem collab, though. She definitely needs to bring the hits this era, and it seems like she knows that.
