Em loves, and wants to f#ck X, I see a collabo happening 1 day.
There are so much rumors about the voice of our generation popping about, it's crazy.

I know. The whole seems orchestrated, which I don't mind actually ...

Christina Aguilera 'using Adele as inspiration' for new album The 30-year-old singer's last release, Bionic, topped the UK charts, but was a flop compared to some of her earlier work in terms of worldwide sales. After completing the first series of X Factor rival The Voice, Xtina is now trying to ignore Kelly Osbourne's ranting and focus on masterminding another hit record on the scale of Stripped. She has recruited British songwriter Talay Riley to work on some tracks and he is excited about the prospect of helping Aguilera return to the top. Riley, who has also worked with Jessie J and Tulisa from N-Dubz, revealed he was given a detailed brief for the album, which the US singer wants to be about her turbulent personal life. 'Basically she wants songs that are as big as Beautiful,' he told the Daily Star. 'Christina wants to make another Stripped and sees Adele as her new inspiration.' Riley also suggested that Aguilera could have a smash hit with one of his pieces. 'I've written one song for her which is a real track put to a four-by-four beat. It's like a better version of Leona Lewis's Collide,' he said. www.metro.co.uk/music/871597-christina-aguilera-using...

If that Adele thing is true, and if she's working with "Set Fire To The Rain" dude, now there is absolutely NO excuse for this album to suck. I love Christina and has been one of my favorite pop artists since she first came out but as a huge Christina fan, I thought Bionic was one of the worst albums I've ever heard. I'm looking forward to the next album and hopefully she will slay again!

I just don't understand anyone calling Bionic "one of the worst albums I've ever heard". Aside from all the stupid interludes, I thought it was one amazing album.
Vocally, it's one of the most impressive albums I've ever heard.
Production-wise, it lacks originality on a handful of tracks. But other tracks (Elastic Love, Sex For Breakfast, Bobblehead, Stronger Than Ever, I Am) I thought were brilliantly produced. But even then, I thought her vocals made up for the unoriginal tracks (Bionic, Not Myself Tonight, You Lost Me, Lift Me Up)
As a whole though (again, aside from the pointless interludes), I think it's a very strong album. At first, I didn't like the handful of slow tracks stuck in the middle, but now that I've worn the album out, I like that she did that. Those handful of tracks in the middle are each amazing to listen to and sound good one after the other.
EDIT: Typo

I seriously agree bigbluenote. It's so unfortunate and disappointing to see all the media slaughter taint this album and take away its goodness.
Some of the tracks on the album are the best of her career, and the best of 2010. But unfortunately hype decides everything now.

Bionic is my least favorite album of hers, but it's still a decent record. It isn't a terrible album by any stretch of the imagination.

It is my least favorite cd by her, but definitely not as bad as people are making it out to be. It does sound like 2-3 cds piled into one, but just not as good as other cds that try to be like that (namely, Stripped). I also think some of the last minute changes actually made the cd worse and I wish they had trusted the original plan. But, still, it has some great vocals, she held back on the oversinging, and there are some real gems on there that will be on my Ipod for some time.

It does sound like 2-3 cds piled into one, but just not as good as other cds that try to be like that (namely, Stripped). That's the main problem with Bionic - it's too chaotic. Stripped was all over the place, too, but somehow it worked. Maybe because the album as a whole was stronger?

Christina flew to Barcelona today for a private show. I'm sure she's raking in $4 million+. :'( She's also been asked to perform for a Michael Jackson tribute later this year.

The "Voice" is a very credible show, it's all about the music, and it is doing wonders for losts of people especially alot of the artists.

Bionic wasn't nearly as bad as the press made it out to be.
That being said, the direction for the album was kind of all over the place. I feel like she didn't commit to the "new sound" she said she was going for.
Tracks like "Bionic", "Little Dreamer" and "Birds of Prey" are perfect, though.

I wonder what she'll do - MJ is not really a "big" vocalist.

She has a tendency to overdo it, though. James Brown, Nina Simone, Aretha Frankline. Haha, it's like she can't help herself.

Um..... she ruined the end, which was always my favorite part. The whole reason why that song is fantastic is because she kept it subdued and classy to the very last note. And then Christina goes all tranny on it.

And then Christina goes all tranny on it. How about you don't listen to her tribute then. I don't understand the point of complaining as if the tribute will be forced down your throat. Opt for gardening or cooking the day the tribute airs.

I'll be watching the tribute because I love MJ, and Christina will not be the only artist involved. I can probably go wash my hair while she's on, but I'm still intersted to see what song she will cover.
I've had Christina forced down my throat enough already with her being on the voice (I'm watching for Cee-Lo and Adam ONLY) and her part on Moves Like Jagger - so, no, frying a chicken won't eliminate her from these things I enjoy.
Please don't even step up to me.

Aww, how miserable are you with Christina being so inescapable? I have some solutions:
1. DVR episodes of The Voice and fast forward when Christina comes up 2. Edit MLJ on any sound editing system and cut Christina's part 3. The moment Christina is announced on stage in that tribute concert, pretend your dead for like 10 minutes and come back to life later
Hope that helps. I can help further with the above-mentioned solutions if needed. Your situation seems truly dire.

As if I'm gonna give her that much effort. Please.
Although I am curiously feeling like playing dead right about now. Thanks for your assistance.

At least be glad she doesn't creep up in your dreams. Now that would be hard to avoid.
And you may definitely R.I.P. Let's hope you stay that way during the tribute and anything Christina related.
