Yes, with Maroon 5 and Christina’s ‘Moves Like Jagger’ zooming back up to the Hot 100 Top 10 at No. 8, and Britney inching up two notches to No. 7 with ‘I Wanna Go,’ history was officially made this week as ex-Mouseketeers and former teen pop rivals Britney and Christina both appear in the Top 10 together for the first time ever! Wow! :o |

Christina got paid $3.4 million dollars to perform at a private party in Barcelona for a billionaire only singing FOUR songs. :O :O Well she is a legend so i'm not suprised. even if her album flopped, she's often invited to some private concerts with HUGE cash for only a few songs. She won't go bankrupt  |

LMFAO Christina only performs 4 songs and gets paid millions, she doesn't even need to tour haha. No wonder she didn't even care. She keeps banking on private events. True A list star right here. No wonder all the millionaires want her to perform.

Yeah - remember when it was a BIG deal for a female Pop artist to hit the top 20 at that time? Only J Lo and Beyonce could rake in big numbers since they got Urban airplay. And now female pop stars are completely dominating the music industry. Funny how things change. |

"Beautiful" would have hit #1 had they released a single. A mere 11,000 copies sold would have done it. Ah well. Huh? Vanessa, Christina, Avril, Pink, Kylie, Michelle, Kelly, Shakira, shoot even Madonna had a Top 10 hit in 2002. But, yes the chart was definitely more Urban leaning then with it's Pop princess sprinkles. |

above is a bit mean to say. they have really wanted to turn hers into a britney type scenerio (which i sympathise with) but it clearly isnt.
i have to say this about christina. i think she has a fantastic voice. i have all her albums. But i may be one of the few that was really turned off her after watching the voice. i just feel like she has no humility

^ Her debut is still my favorite album of hers. It's criminally underrated imo. "So Emotional" & "Love For All Seasons" are two of her best songs. R&BTina> Yay for the #1 with Maroon 5!. It's been so long :'( . Hopefully she'll get a solo number 1 with her next release ;) . |

Unfortunately, I doubt we will get it by that time. I think the timeline is a premiere early next year and then a Spring album. It frustrates me because around now seems like the best time, but meh.
I do think she will probably premiere it on The Voice which should keep up big numbers so that is a plus.

LPL you're probably right. If I was in marketing I would lay out following timeline:
Oct - announce new website
Nov - press release/first single premier
Dec - magazine covers/tv press
Jan - Continue to push 1st singe/THE VOICE hype
Feb - THE VOICE premier/perform 1st single, announce 2nd single, Grammy performance
Mar - album release
Bottom line is that RCA must keep her profile VERY HIGH. Christina has been doing OK so far but I fear they may wait until THE VOICE before they do anything.

On the Hot 100, Cher has a #1 single in the 60s, 70s and 90s. The list they mentioned is consecutive decades I suppose.

^Yeah, but the Hot 100 is stupid, it's not just about sales. Billboard have stated that Cher is the only artist to have achieved a number 1 in 6 decades on Billboard charts.
