^ was it ever released to radio? i think it's pretty obvious that they should be releasing "all she wrote" or "pop bottles" considering their actual success (itunes) and potential success (radio friendly)

Look, Rihanna was brilliant in Love The Way You Lie. But let's not be comparing T.I to Eminem now. Eminem has had way more radio success before LTWYL then TI has had. So to Assume Castle Walls would have been a hit with Rihanna on the chorus is a bit much. It's basically saying Rihanna made LTWYL the hit it was. No doubt Rihanna contributed but it wasnt just because of her the song was a success. Eminem has more appeal at radio then TI does.

While you can claim itunes sales are the reason We Made You and Not Afraid made them Top 10's on the Hot 100. You can claim the same for TIs Whatever You Like and Big (Sh*t) Things Poppin.
Seems to me Eminem has more success on Radio.
Basically i left off Live Your Life, Dead And Gone, Crack A Bottle, Love The Way You Lie, Swagga Like Us, and Shake That. All the Top 10 Hot 100's with Features that these two have. The reason is for the radio appeal of the rapper without features. Don't say it's too make my point better...I left 2 Eminem Hot 100 #1's off and 1 TI Hot 100 #1 off.

^I don't think anyone is denying that at one time Eminem had radio prowess, but even when you take away the features TI has still had more RECENT success on radio. TI had 2 radio smashes without features after Eminem's last big radio hit.

There are alot of people that don't like the subject matter of the song but love the chorus, sung by Rihanna. I remember when it was first released many were saying Rihanna makes the song so it was a smart thing and if another person was singing it, there could possibly be a different impact of how well the song performed. |
