I don't undestand why people say "S&M will not reach #1" this song has a bigger AI and increasing really fast on itunes. It's only wednesday and tomorrow rihanna will be on AI and even if she'll sing another song someone will ask a question about this rmx with britney, and IMO this is also "promo" :) LOL |

This is definitely getting the number one spot on the Hot 100. Once you combine all the versions of both "S&M" and "E.T.," "S&M" slightly edges over "E.T.," and that lead keeps slowly increasing. "S&M" already has higher airplay than "E.T." does, obviously, since "S&M" is number one in airplay. I've got say, they hit the nail on this one. Number one on digital sales and airplay on the same week. When's the last time that happened?! Songs almost always hit number one digitally weeks before hitting number one in airplay!
However, my guess is next week, "Judas" will take number one, and depending on its quality, airplay, and longevity, "E.T." and "Judas" will battle for number one. So, it looks like "S&M" will only get one week at number one on the Hot 100, but damn, this time last week, we all thought "S&M" was forever going to peak at #2! :o

Just heard the remix. I don't like it tbh. Brit's vocals sound unfinished, the words she says are not clear and her vocals are too childish for such a song imo. It might be the producer's fault but I'd love to hear B's raw vocals on this track cause her voice fits perfectly with Rihanna's own voice. Shame. :(

Great chart run for this song so far - fast rise, but steady! Once it gets kicked from #1 tomorrow, I anticipate a good few weeks stuck at #2 before falling pretty quickly. Bring on CKB! :)
