Britney sounds amazing on this!!! I haven't heard her sing like this in a long time and I'm impressed at how little vocal effects are used on her voice during her verse.

Umbrella was supposed to be Britneys too, right? I think Dream and Tricky wanted to give it to Mary J. Blige Brit turned it down first before Mary was offered it. Rihanna really lucked out with that song, her team really had to fight for it and ended up taking her career to the next level. |

this song wont be getting grammy love...at least not the remix
i heard this on radio today instead of through laptop speakers. i liked it better. but still prefer the original.
i had two teenagers in the car who didnt know about the remix and when the song was over they were like that didnt sound like S&M what happened. and i said they added britney. and both said it sucked even though they like the original. both are britney fans.

A best female vocal category or a collab category are just based on the fact that vocals are on the track. Once that criteria is met, the rest is politics and other important elements. I mean...how did the overproduced/nasally Overprotected or Oops... I did it again ever get nominated if the awards were based on best vocals. |
