Wow! Thanks floridagrl for sharing those beautiful lush pics. Arianne Phillips is amazing as a costume designer and surely an awards contender.
If I'm not mistaking, Arianne also designed Modonn's wardrobe for her last concerts and she also was nominated for several academy awards including one for Walk the Line.

^ I agree, Jump. I think this movie is going to do well. Madonna put her heart and soul in this movie. Good for her.

If true, hopefully M and WO can create some of the pre-Music magic that sparked Ray of Light- the tracks used for Music were good in their own right, but not at that level.

The best producers in the world mean nothing without brilliant songwriters working in tandem. Let's hope Pat Leonard comes on board. That introspective side of Madonna is timeless.

William Orbit produced ROL without M. It was called something else entirley and Madonna brought it off of him, changed much of it with him and they made magic.

^ magic indeed. I think she is in an Orbit mood these days. Looks like someone, somehow, somewhere can see them together and take a photo for proof.

Produced ROL without M? I take it you're talking about the track itself and not the whole album. :) Though M does have a co-producer credit on the track. The track was "Sepheryn" in its original incarnation, and then one of the nieces (I think) of one of the original songwriters did a demo, which M liked. So, M wrote a new verse and recorded it, and it became one of the greatest tracks of her career.

Madonna working with William Orbit on new album?Sunday, August 7 2011, 9:15am EDTBy Tom Eames, Entertainment Reporter Madonna is reportedly working with William Orbit for her upcoming twelfth studio album. The 'Hung Up' singer is said to have reunited with her Ray of Light producer in a New York recording studio, according to the Sunday Mirror. The tabloid also claims that the pop legend is planning a "huge" world tour to support the follow-up to 2008's Hard Candy. Her manager Guy Oseary had previously confirmed that she had started work on the new release last month. At the time, he revealed: "She has a good idea on which producers she will be working with. There is nothing to report in regards to tour." David Guetta has recently denied rumors that he will be working with Madonna on either his or her next album. William Orbit was one of the main producers of Madonna's highly successful 1998 album Ray of Light. He also contributed to her 2000 release Music. www.digitalspy.com/music/news/a333779/madonna-working-with-william-orbit-on-new-album.html

This is terrific news. While Confessions and Music were good albums, neither came close to the greatness of Ray of Light, and with William Orbit on board, I'm hoping she'll make an album at least half as deep and mature as Ray of Light.

I think she will not go the way of Hard Candy especially with lyrics "booty" et all and release a deeper mature complete opposite album than HC mainly because of her release of her movie. If they are released around the same time as rumors suggest, she will want to tone it down, reflect and go the ROL route even though I want her to "kick ass" at the same time. It will be very interresting to know what directional theme she will undertake with this.

Disagree. Confessions is right up there with ROL. I've listened to Confessions more than ROL.

As a legitimate piece of music COADF can't touch ROL because of the crap lyrics sprinkled therein. Her vocals were also stronger on ROL, she made a bigger effort to sound technically good.

COADF certainly didn't rival ROL's level of critical success. it's a strong album, no doubt- but ROL just had a magic about it (as with LAP). if the new album comes somewhere in between ROL and COADF, it will be a very nice piece of work.

Of course a big tour is coming. Is that part of her deal? An album or 12 won't cover her Live Nation contract.

Of course a big tour is coming. Is that part of her deal? An album or 12 won't cover her Live Nation contract. The contract was officially for 3 albums and 4 tours, the S&S Tour being the 1st tour. So 3 more albums and 3 more tours.

Some "sites" claim that S&S covers two tours since that concert run was split into two years.

William Orbit produced ROL without M. It was called something else entirley and Madonna brought it off of him, changed much of it with him and they made magic. That's not possible because of the five standouts from RoL, four were written by Pat Leonard (Frozen, Sky Fits Heaven, Skin, Nothing Really Matters) and the title track was a revision of an older song.

Some "sites" claim that S&S covers two tours since that concert run was split into two years. A 2nd leg of a tour is the 2nd leg of a tour, not another tour. Besides, LN wouldn't let her pull that. She has to record 3 albums for them, and they're gonna want a tour for each of them.

Don't even mention that travesty. What a missed opportunity. With REAL lyrics ILNY would literally be in the top tier of M's catalog.
