I don't even think it's funny. I thought she was being a bitch initially but I didn't think it was really a big deal and that "bitchiness" is part of the reason I love her. This video looks like she's actually TRYING to be a bitch. I don't even know the last time I actually thought Madonna did something "childish," but that's how I'd describe that video. I completely agree.

Oh please. That video is beyond fabulous. It's poking fun at all the hoopla over her not liking a certain type of flower, and it points out the fact that she can like or dislike whatever she damn well pleases. That video isn't her being a bitch, it's her telling people to grow and stop being pussies. Surely you all have more important things to worry about than whether or not a celeb likes Hydrangeas? Mind you, the guy who gave it to her ended up being a prankster anyway.
If you want to see a bitch in action look at Mariah's appearances on HSN or just about any of the notorious Xtina debacles.

She'll never catch a break from this crap: Insiders Come to Madonna’s Defense After a Toronto newspaper reported that eight volunteers were asked to “turn their faces to the wall” Monday afternoon as Madonna headed into a press event for her movie, “W.E.”, The Toronto Star publishes a few testimony from inside people who denied the whole story. Conference moderator Richard Crouse, film critic for CTV’s Canada AM said… “I was backstage for the entire time, and I was waiting for her, and I was looking down the hall when she came in. She did not have a 14-person entourage, as people have reported. And she was friendly to everybody; there was none of this ‘turn your back, don’t look her in the eye’. *She (posed for) photographs, she signed autographs. I think this whole thing is a fabrication.” Charlene Coy, publicity director for “Entertainment One Canada” was with Madonna and said… “I saw no evidence volunteers were asked to look away before or after the news conference. Madonna was completely gracious.” www.madonnarama.com/posts-en/2011/09/14/short-news-movie-new-books-politics-business-new-music-and-what-they-all-have-to-say-about-madonna/#ixzz1Xx41IN00

Because of her global stature, every little thing she does is there for microscopic inspection. When she's out of the public eye or being low key, it's quiet on the Madonna front, but once she steps out, it's media pandemonium. :)

Mariah didn't treat anyone badly, so I don't know what u saw. Besides I don't know what Mariah has to do with any of this but ok. Lol

Madonna to launch fragrance?Madonna is in talks to launch her first fragrance. The Material Girl is conducting "serious discussions" with perfume giant Coty, according to WWD.com. If a deal is struck, Madonna will follow in the footsteps of Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez and release a perfume through the company. Lady Gaga also has a fragrance coming out under the Coty banner next year. This won't be Madonna's first foray into cosmetics. Her Material Girl line, aimed at the teen market, launched nail polish, lip gloss, body sprays and lotions launched in August. www.waaytv.com/entertainment/story/Madonna-to-launch-fragrance/_2TXuJKOb0iOxkFSajzdyw.cspx I wonder if this is true. I don't see anything on her website or facebook page about it.

There's also some rumor about Estee Lauder and it being called "Truth or Dare." Like the movies, not much interested in these side projects.

it's just extending her brand even more. It doesn't bother me, as long as there is music.

^Yah, I had noted in one of the BB 200 threads that I saw ROL for $5 there late last week- not in the $5 bin, though, but in the regular music section (which is down to half an aisle). Apparently it didn't benefit enough to chart on the top 200 catalog chart.

really tho, cd's at this point are pointless. Who buys cd's? I don't. I download from iTunes from giftcards and the like. It's very rare I buy a physical cd. Digital all the way! It's the obvious direction music is going.
plus, i'm too lazy to actually go out and buy a cd. I'd rather download an album and HAVE IT NOW and sacrifice the quality rather than waiting and buying it phyically later on down the road. For my favs, i'll probably buy both, but for the artists who aren't my favs, i'd rather just download and be done with it. I don't really care that much as long as i have it instanteanously.
i actually think iTunes promotions are gaining weight on store's promotions. They aren't that far apart anymore.

Some people still do buy CDs. Just because you don't doesn't everyone else shouldn't either. The quality of iTunes and Amazon digital downloads isn't that good. For most who don't know about all that, they wouldn't notice or even care. But I have noticed that there's a dramatic difference between and iTunes 256 KBPS AAC file and a 1411 KBPS WAV (the format uncompressed CD audio). I wish that the digital stores would make the lossless files available for purchase but they do not. If iTunes were the first to offer that in addition to the lossy files, other stores would do that same thing. Masterbeat, a digital download store that sold lossless WAV files closed earlier this summer. Beatport recently began selling Warner Bros. and EMI company albums and singles, but the lossless files are very expensive. They should be proportional to what the physical CDs cost. $32.99 for an album you can get for $14.99 at most in a regular store is absolutely insane.

I pretty much cherry pick now instead of purchasing albums. I will still continue to buy Madonna's physical albums, however.

Plenty of people still purchase cds they are the best quality, and you get the physical product in your hand and not just a file. Itunes is mainly big in terms of singles. But album sales still do well in the cd format. Digital music is overrated.

Digital is one of the directions in a small portion. However, the cd is still by far the best format.

I also cherrypick CDs that I get- I just got Adele's two albums on CD this week. And, naturally, will get Madonna's (if it's released in the physical form, that is).

really tho, cd's at this point are pointless. Who buys cd's? From the latest Billboard 200 thread... According to Billboard's Market Watch: 3,671,00 physical albums were sold this week. 1,819,000 digital albums were sold this week.

^Where was that reported? I had not heard she was allergic. Yeah, I didn't know Madonna was allergic to hydrangeas either. Well, even if she isn't, I don't get why the media made such a huge deal over her, "I loathe hydrangeas" comment. She was polite to the fan's face and muttered that comment behind his back, not intending for it to be heard. I would've said the exact same thing if I got something hideous from a fan. I'm glad she mocked the whole incident and didn't apologize.
