Yes, Liz is amazing. She always comes to Madonna's defense intelligently and without solicitation. This past week, poor Madge got a double-dose of duty from the press. I think Liz is the only Journalist who "gets" Madonna. I enjoy reading her blog!

Rumors- take them as you will... www.madonnatribe.com/news/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=6136Exclusive Reports: Super Bowl! We got it confirmed and some juicy details!Sources have confirmed to MadonnaTribe.com that Madonna's performance at the Super Bowl is definitely a go and confirmed! but Tribe can bring you some more exclusive juicy bits on the performance! At present time Madonna is set to perform five songs and among them the first single from the new album that has already been chosen and we've been told it's perfect for the event, as it reminds of a cheerleader song. The new single - and the album as well - will feature two vocal guests: MIA and Nicki Minaj. Madonna is set to have three music guests on the SuperBowl stage, and supposedly two of them are the new single's guest singers mentioned above. Super Bowl XLVI takes place in Indianapolis on February 5, 2012. Some great times are coming for Madonna fans! just stick to MadonnaTribe.com, home of Madonna fans, for more exclusive reports on her new projects! And... www.madonnarama.com/posts-en/2011/10/27/madonna-wants-you-to-give-her-all-your-love-at-next-super-bowl/Madonna wants you to GIVE HER ALL YOUR LOVE at next Super Bowl ! – EXCLUSIVE !!!It’s not official yet, but Madonnarama can exclusively reveal that the deal is ON! Madonna will be performing five songs at next year’s Super Bowl XLVI at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on February 5. We can also reveal that she will be singing the very first single – a never-heard-before song co-produced by Martin Solveig – from her forthcoming album ! The track is called “Give me all your love” and it’s a very catchy tune. The performance is supposed to include some heavy choreography with major cheerleading action! The cheerleaders are about to tumble, dance, jump and stunt while cheering some “M-A-D-O-N-N-A” in the stadium while she sings her new song. Oh and that also explains one of William Orbit’s recent tweet… “I hesitate to make a comment about anything musical, y’all might think is a cryptic tease. But will say: \o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/” Madonna will also sing four classic hits from her vast repertoire. We can also reveal that the rumour about Lady Gaga competing with Madonna to perform at the sport event, is true, but M seems to have gotten her way. The Super Bowl is the championship game of the National Football League (NFL), the highest level of professional American football in the United States.

More from MadonnaTribe: www.madonnatribe.com/news/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=6137Sources have exclusively confirmed to MadonnaTribe that confirmed producers of the new album are William Orbit, Solveg and Benny Benassi adding that the sound of the record is definitely pop dance and that at this very moment Nine Tracks of the album are ready. Further more, as already reported today by MadonnaTribe the first single has already been choosen. It reminds of a cheerleader song featuring two vocal guests: MIA and Nicki Minaj and will also be presented during the SuperBowl appearance. Photographers Mert and Marcus have been chosen to shoot the new album cover. The photoshoot is happening towards the end of the year but they have already done the campaign for her coming fragrance called Truth Or Dare (the Madonna fragrance MTribe reported a few years back is finally happening after so many delays!) In more music news, Madonna is going to put in her WE movie a brand new ballad she has penned and that she performs, but we have been told that at this stage it has not yet been decided if it will also be put on the new record or will remain a WE exclusive. In other news we have been told the cover of the Harper's Bazaar cover has just been shot by Tom Munro!

I suppose we're going to have to face and accept that Madonna will do what she feels she has to do to have relevancy on ageist U.S. radio. M.I.A. is an acclaimed artist; Minaj, not so much- but the latter is one of the "in" acts at the moment.
And, both happen to be Madge fans. :)
RE any cheer-type stuff- Madonna was a cheerleader in high school, remember. ;) And, in the music world, Toni Basil was all over that in the early 80s. it's kinda premature to have all that plotted out, though, isn't it? The Super Bowl is more than 3 months away.

More:
Hey! What? Listening Session: Details On Madonna's Album, Tour & Movie
Independent of the news over at MadonnaTribe and Madonnarama (both which have some more deets than I could confirm, including Madonnarama naming the single "Give Me All Your Love," a reverse Stacey Q!), I can confirm the following about the work-in-progress recording of Madonna's next, as-yet-untitled, studio album:
*** The overall sound is "pop/dance."
*** Madonna has recorded a ballad that will live on the W.E. soundtrack. (Speaking of that movie, there is a screening of the re-cut version in Manhattan momentarily.)
*** The lead single features Nicki Minaj and MIA (how original—sorry, I'll stifle it and stay positive) and is like a "cheer". The three would perform it at the Superbowl, which is happening.
*** She's touring from the spring.
*** Solveig, Orbit and Benassi are the album's producers.

Seriously Madge? Nicki? Not a good look at all. It makes her come off extremely desperate. And Nicki is garbage.
I don't mind her working with M.I.A., excited actually. M.I.A. is a brilliant artist. I just can't with Nicki. Ugh why Madge why :( .

I'm just excited to hear a Martin Solveig-produced dance anthem with cutting-edge rapping mixed in, AND performed in front of the largest audience of her life. What are the Superbowl stats...like 100M?

The Oscars are not watched by 1 billion people, they're *available to* 1 billion TV viewers.
Last years' Super Bowl was the most watched TV broadcast in US television history, averaging over 110 million viewers. (How many viewers a show gets is how many the broadcast averages.) The Oscars haven't even topped 50 million in years.

In the U.S...but it certainly has more of a global a audience than SB...well larger than 100M. Madonna is a global act.

Yea, I think if they release the single to iTunes right after the Superbowl...#1. Regardless of whether it's good or not.
I'm a bit on the fence about the whole thing. On the one hand, I adore M.I.A. and love Nicki so I'm excited about the singles potential. On the other, I was hoping this would be a solo smash that would leave no doubt on her hit potential. This is just going to give her detractors so much fodder to criticize her with.

In the U.S...but it certainly has more of a global a audience than SB...well larger than 100M. Madonna is a global act. The Oscars would have to get about 70 million viewers internationally in order to match the SB's US audience figures, I really don't think they're relevant enough outside of the US to even approach that. Besides, Madonna needs that level of promotional exposure in the US, not internationally anyway.

It's nothing new. 100M people will be watching, from every nationality, race, age, and gender. Why be polorizing and release a 53 year old-appropriate single? The audience wants that SHAKY-GROOVY feeling once again, and Madonna is going to bring it, back to the masses. can't wait!!!

We have to face the facts- the odds of her scoring a big U.S. hit with just her on a single are pretty slim.
I hope this single has universal appeal (like a "Holiday").

you are dismissing the point that all of those non-US people will ultimately watch her Superbowl performance, if they are Madonna fans. There is Youtube, you know. so that is 100M ++++++ the entire rest of the world that will eventually see her performance.....literally within 24 hours. this is her biggest performance ever.

How dare you hate on Nicki...bish please. Madonna is coming for wigs and will get that rhythmic crossover from Nicki so she can score another mega hit...AND YOU WILL DEAL.

And what's your point? I clearly stated that the Oscars haven't topped 50 million in years, which is a cold hard fact. You're dragging up irrelevant figures from the Pleistocene. Their ratings have plummeted over the last 20 years. The never ending expansion of cable TV, and now DVR boxes, has massacred the viewership of programs on the 4 major networks, award show broadcasts included. The Oscars have been lucky to approach 40 million US viewers in the last 5 years.
