well, i just listened to the 7sec clip, as the others are already taken down, which is good. But it sounds fantastic! <3
60's sounding? lol, no. But very 80's, very high energy, and nothing like Hard Candy or Born This Way or Teenage Dream.

I'm avoiding snippet leaks. If it is a sunny-sounding track like "Beautiful Stranger," nothing wrong there- that track was pretty decently acclaimed and all. :)

Yeah this is very 80s new wave. Sounds like the type of songs she was recording in the early 80s before she released her debut album. Doesn't really scream smash hit but they seem to have huge plans for promotion.

At first it didn't sound like a hit to me either, but then I listened to the clips some more. It definitely sticks with you and is a grower.

Hope the full thing will sound better, but I'm very let down. The chorus sounds like something a 10 year old girl could come up with during a school break, it's very weak. I could forgive her for the dated sound if it atleast had a strong melody, but it just hasn't. |

I think a minute-long clip that includes the hook gives people a fairly good impression of the song.

Even if only this clip leaks for now, I still think it would be weird to have a clip of a new Madonna single out and have to wait a few months for it to be released.

I've heard two clips, one is nine seconds and one is 15. It kind of annoys me when people say you can't judge a song based off that. You obviously can. 24 seconds wouldn't be a lot if this was a film or an album, but 24 seconds is about 1/7 of your average pop song. 1/7 of something is enough to form a fairly decent impression. If I get 1/7 of the way through a book then I can probably tell if I'm going to like it or not. It might be silly to give up on it if I didn't like what I'd read so far, but it's still enough to form a preliminary impression. It's the same for a pop song, they just happen to be shorter so it's easier to discount someone's opinion by saying 'oh but you've only heard 30 seconds', when in reality that's a healthy chunk of the 210 seconds long it's likely to be.
Anyway, I like what I've heard. I LOVE the idea of Madonna mixing the sound of her first couple of albums with a modern twist. I'm excited again!

To be honest I see no reason this can't fit into current pop radio. I wouldn't exactly call it generic, but it knows what's what. LOVE the breakdown.
