Madonna and Britney did that back in 03. Don't need to see it again. Britney & Madonna's kiss was epic. It shouldn't be duplicated again by either artist with someone else on stage/in videos. everytime. Everyone always forgets about that other girl. lol

With a grain of salt peeps, with a grain of salt: Madonna New Album and Single: More detailsDrownedMadonna.com heard some more juicy news on Madonna's new album and the first single. Martin Solveig did an alternate single mix, a dub and a club mix of Madonna's Gimme All Your Luvin. While both Stuart Price and William Orbit have mixes with Madonna-only vocals, though no confirmation of release has been given yet. We also learnt that William Orbit has several mixes of the tracks from Madonna's new album, but it is still unknown which ones will be released. The album is definitely her best according to our sources. It's described as a combination of Ray of Light and Music, only better. There are lots of beats in every track, even the ballads have bass! A press release with album and single info - including remixes and single artwork - will be out soon, tentatively on the week of the 16th. The Digital Download of the "Single Version" of Gimme All Your Luvin will be made available the same day as radio date. Last but not least, as for now, DrownedMadonna.com has been told that William Orbit has a new remix of Madonna's Ray Of Light, but we can not say to what purpose. Her best? Puh-lease. It may be a combo of Ray of Light and Music, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will be her best.

well i like Confessions more than both ROL and Music, so to me this very well could be her best, if it's better than Confessions. I'm not one of those people who cries, "I want ballads, I want messages, I want lyrics." I just want it to sound FUCKING COOL. Period. I could care less about lyrical content. Just give me a beat that makes me weak in the knees and I'll love you forever.

It doesn't have to be super-heavy lyrically, but I also don't want simple, throwaway tracks- that's just not her (overall). She has been one of the best at merging art and commerce. "Hung Up" was fun, simple, yet it did very well on year-end lists and such. "4 Minutes," on the other hand, did not.

The Super Bowl remix of 'Music' leaked (supposedly).
If it's the real version.. I will LOVE it, because it's amazing.

Like a Prayer and Ray of Light usually are thw two albums that get cited as her best. For me, I give a slight edge to LAP.
Love the use of live instruments on Like a Prayer- pasy albums obviously included live instruments, but this one probably had the most variety. The segue from "Dear Jessie" to "Oh Father" has to be one of the best on record. Going from a happy childhood-themed track to a dark, brooding childhood track- love it. The album ends with the jarring "Act of Contrition," but given the theme of the album, it works. Took me a while to warm some to "Love Song," but I don't mind it (though it may be the weak link among the album's "regular" tracks).
I do love the guitars on ROL, too- and, actually, it's an album that had a more profound impact on me than LAP (probably of what I was experiencing at the time- I was 23 when ROL came out, vs. 14 for LAP).

I saw W./E. last night at an Oscar screening here in NYC..
Very impressive!! It's a beautiful film.
Great performances by the cast.
The music was phenomenal.
Problems:
Some clunky dialogue.
Too long. People were squirming in their seats the last 20 minutes.
I didn't like the parts where the two Wallace's meet and talk to each other.

^ Three words; Filth and Wisdom. (It is only 81 minutes long, bu it's still a film). How wide do we think this will be released? 500 theaters? 1,000? Can't see it going as wide as 2,000.

I was 9 when Ray Of Light was released, haha. I remember seeing 'Frozen' premiere on MTV and thinking "Who is this? It's amazing". I had 'Frozen' and 'Ray Of Light' on my mixed tapes and listened to them for years. When Music was released that's when I started to become a more casual fan and bought the album. However, it wasn't until around 2002-2003 that I actually went back and started listening to her back catalog of music. I became obsessed. I became a true hardcore Madonna fan at the time of American Life being released, and now at the time, having known her entire music catalog. Now I'm 23 years old, and a Madonna fan for life. I've seen her live twice, Re-Invention Tour, and for the Sticky & Sweet Tour.

It seems like a fanmade remix or mashup. The vocals sound like they came from the HQ2 acapella of "Music" which has been circulating for years.

LAP and ROL are groundbreaking and career defining moments and are 2 of my favorite Madonna albums that stand the test of time but no one can deny the power of energy, electrifying and mesmerizing tracts of Confessions. I get lost and escape in it's pure hypnotic pleasure everytime.

I believe like most Weinstein arthouse films, it will open in less than 1,000 sites. His My Week With Marilyn opened in about 650 and his critically acclaimed The Artist is very limited unless it picks up around award time.

^Those two movies probably will see nominations in major Oscar categories, though- so that gives them opportunity for increased interest and expansion. Madge's movie is not set to get nods in major categories, so it may not go all that wide.

What I adore about ROL is that even now, 13 years after its release, it STILL sounds timeless. Ahead of its time. Of today, what have you.
