^I had posted it some pages back, but here it was: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You've done so much in your music, stage performances, videos, etc. to push cultural boundaries- whether it's tackling gender, racial, religious, sexual or social mores. You have famously said that artists should have a point of view and that you have enjoyed being a revolutionary, provoking discussion and getting people to think. Do you feel a kinship and greater respect toward other acts who share that philosophy in one way or another? Or, do you find as much value in acts whose careers prosper on fun, yet ultimately disposable, music? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's too darn long for Cynthia to read, and has too much intro commentary, I think. Maybe she'll ask it in a condensed manner haha I think she would say something like that both types of artists/music serve a purpose, that she enjoys some frivolous music, that kind of thing, but that she probably does feel a kinship with other risktakers.

Madonna creates Twitter frenzy by naming new album MDNABy Ann Lee - 11th January, 2012Madonna may be over 50 but she still knows how to create a buzz with Twitter going crazy after the singer revealed the name of her new album would be MDNA. The pop icon, 53, revealed the album title during an interview filmed for The Graham Norton Show this afternoon. She told the TV host it would be called MDNA as she is 'currently into initials' and 'unless I change my mind'. Fans quickly took to Twitter to debate whether the title was inspired by the drug MDMA, the active ingredient in ecstasy, and if the singer was actually joking. jodieharsh tweeted: 'Madonna's new album is called MDNA?!!! It's kind of lol, kind of genius, kind of an obvious drug reference. Proper club album please, love?!' Freudenschade posted: 'If the new #Madonna album is going to be called 'MDNA' then the tour had better be called 'Crack Ciccone'.' CocoMarieMusic said: 'MDNA is a cool album name, obviously only because it's Madonna, otherwise it'd be a random collection of letters loosely resembling a drug.' But not everyone was impressed with stuarthoughton writing: 'MDNA is the active ingredient in Meh-cstasy.' Richie_Simmons joked: 'MDNA trending. Must be a lot of dyslexics on MDMA.' ErinCarrington Erin Carrington added: 'Reckon Madonna would've been better off calling her album HP RPLCMNT #MDNA.' The first single to be released off MDNA is Gimme All Your Luvin' which will feature Nicki Minaj and MIA. MDNA is a perfect album title. First thing I thought when reading it was mitochondrial DNA (like LPL) even though it's actually mtDNA. Close enough.
It's probably just every other letter in Madonna though.

Yah- the title is a play on words, as well as short for her name- and people can interpret anything else that they like from it. M once said she didn't like explaining things for that reason.

It could be an ugly couple of months for me with Madonna and a few others releasing new cds soon. Especially since I am already resisting writing 10 paragraphs to people who don't get the album title and think it is stupid.

She's definitely starting to age but at least it's gracefully.

Rumor has it that there is a new duet featuring Britney on the album. Take it with a grain of salt at this point.

She's definitely starting to age but at least it's gracefully. I was gonna post the same exact thing! She doesn't look like she is exercising fanatically anymore either, which is nice. I remember when she had those scary arms. I bought the 2-disc Celebration album finally. Good stuff. Umm...I had NO idea that Celebration (the song) was such a JAM. It is both current AND a throwback to her early 80s club material. I had to repeat it once it was over. Revolver isn't bad. I had ignored both songs when they were released or appeared.

Celebration IMO is very VERY underrated. Some say it's generic and perhaps upon frist listen or so but it has stayed with me since it's release constantly getting spins. Hardly needs a remix it's awesome fast and fun.

^It's fun, but kinda throwaway compared to her best material.
Love the triple-entendre "confirmation." :)

How bout it- and, yes, she looks good now. She's had whatever kinds of treatments, sure, but there's nothing wrong with showing a little bit of age- much prefer a more natural look than a plasticized one.
She obviously had an issue with "time," based on the constant references over the last several years, but now she's saying "let's forget about time," so good on her. ;)

Oh she's gearing up now.... this thread will soon start to explode. Fun times - Madonna stans are by far my favorite stans out there.

Say what you want about this woman but damn, has she made HITS over the years? There isn't a bad song on 2 discs of Celebration, which says a lot and most of those songs are classics even. I'm not a stan for her but I have always enjoyed her songs and they sound so much better remastered. Everybody was a jam when it was released and continues to be one.

I thought she started looking a lot older around the time she released Confessions but who cares? For someone who has a such a strong and dominant personality, I think a little bit of age actually makes her even sexier and more alluring.
