There's a lot going on with that title and I love ALL of it. One of my favorite album titles in a while and now that Celebration 2CD set is FINALLY cheap, I will try to find it. I remember Best Buys in Boston never carrying it when it first came out though. I had the Immaculate Collection on tape and I downloaded a bunch of songs from the Internet but the sound levels are kinda wonky so it would be nice to have a legit, remastered copy of the classics.
Edit: Wow! Best Buy has it AND I have a 5 dollar coupon so I can get the deluxe for $6.99. There's only about 6-7 songs I have CD versions of (I only own CD copies of Hard Candy, American Life, COADF and Erotica) so that's a pretty good deal Oh, I forgot about Something To Remember as well.

There's a lot going on with that title and I love ALL of it. All the different ways to interpret the title already make this campaign more interesting than the Hard Candy one. The demo had killed some of my excitement, but I'm back on board!  |

I like it because it reminds me of mDNA (Mitochondrial DNA) which comes from the Mother and I believe was the first DNA to be sequenced. Like, she is our source music DNA or mother of modern pop music ha ha. But yes very clever name actually. Lol. That's the first reference I thought of too. #nerdproblems I like the title a lot. |

I have a feeling this single won't be a lot like the rest of the album. Fun and upbeat but the rest from what the producers and 'insiders' have said, is suppose to deliever a lot more...

Universal France reporting the single will be available before the Super Bowl (as it should), album out in late March, W.E. soundtrack out 1/31, etc. etc.

I think now more than ever we just need a decent Madonna album - I really doubt we're going to get anything revolutionary at this stage, but that's fine. She has nothing to prove, really. In an age of disposable (and mostly female) pop stars, I just want a great pop record from her supported by a massive, consistent campaign that's Madonna through and through. I didn't hate Hard Candy, but it didn't have that at all. Confessions was a brilliant era.

Nice title, it rolls off the tongue quite nicely. The periods make me believe there's more to it, so I'll hold off on my interest until I hear her explanation of it.

If there is no final period (as shown in the thread title, but not as written on madonna.com), then M.D.N.A simply looks as if alternating letters in Madonna's name have been replaced by periods.
