Based on midweek sales reports and the expected flood of gift card redemptions over the weekend, please expect a greater than our usual margin for error, but here's how next week's chart looks as of this morning, with Taylor Swift the big winner of the holiday, though Rob Stringer's Sony Music and Steve Barnett's Team Columbia represent with four of the Top 5, while Nicki Minaj and Kid Rock are both holding up well: Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 300-325k Susan Boyle (Columbia) 225-250k Glee Cast Christmas (Columbia) 150-170k Jackie Evancho (Columbia) 130-140k Michael Jackson (Epic) 130-140k *Keyshia Cole (Geffen) 130-140k *Jamie Foxx (J/RMG) 125-135k Nicki Minaj (YM/Cash Money/Universal Motown) 125-135k Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 115-125k Kid Rock (Atlantic) 110-120k Rihanna (Def Jam/IDJ) 110-120k Jason Aldean (Broken Bow) 100-110k Josh Groban (Reprise) 100-110k Glee Cast Vol. 4 (Columbia) 100-110k Rascal Flatts (Big Machine) 100-110k Katy Perry (Capitol) 100-110k Justin Bieber Acoustic (Island/IDJ) 100-110k *Debuts (12/24a) www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgi

Oops at Keri. HITS and Billboard's reports were a little misleading then. In Christmas week, we should have more than 2 albums over 200K.

Great for Em :) P.S It seems like Ri Ri's "Loud" has more longevity and stability than "Rated R"....Good for her!

Katy is like 3-4 weeks away from scanning 1 million copies.
I think they should go all the way (singles wise) and release 5-6 singles. I see that album selling more than 1.5m if not more.
Rihanna, with two more successful singles should be able to do 1.2-1.3 million.

Katy Perry (Capitol) 100-110k this will put her over 900k! even less than that. Potentially 2 weeks...and 3 weeks at the most. NEXT UP: beating her 1st album's sales.

On the Christmas front I think that there were too many holiday themes albums released this year, thus spreading that sales' wealth.
I think that Boyle will fall short of reaching 2m.
Glee's Xmas album will fall short of reaching 1m.
Mariah Carey will fall short from reaching 500,000.

There are a number of holiday titles released every year.
If SuBo's album does 225K, that would bring her tally to 1.909m (counting the Christian-outlet sales; SoundScan won't count those for the year-end tally, but, regardless, they count). There's one more week after that- if the album manages to do 91K or so for that week, that should be 2 million through the last week of the year.

Get it Taylor! With numbers like these, I think she'll manage to outsell Lady A for the year-end Soundscan chart.
:'( It'll reach 950 to 960k units scanned this week, and will likely scan 1 million next week.
On another note, I'm glad it looks like we'll have another 100k+ top 10 this week.

Everyone also seems to agree LFN will smash. That momentum will be enough to carry a 6th single pretty far. Who knows how much radio would support a 7th single like HH or TOTGA

I thought she was around this number with rated r before year end. Not really. But what i meant is that "Rated R" wasn't selling as much/fast as "Loud" P.S Loud opened with bigger numbers.
