Very surprised by Kid Rock, Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna. Kid Rock having no hit single and doing 100K a week for the past month is phenomenal. He really has a built fanbase.

NEXT UP: beating her 1st album's sales. Teenage Dream will definitely outsell One Of The Boys. She's already close to 1 million, and the third single hasn't even peaked yet. If they drop at least one more single from the standard edition of the album and then put out a re-release, I think she could potentially reach 2 million. No sophomore slump for Ms. Perry.

Katy is like 3-4 weeks away from scanning 1 million copies. I think they should go all the way (singles wise) and release 5-6 singles. I see that album selling more than 1.5m if not more. Rihanna, with two more successful singles should be able to do 1.2-1.3 million. i think they should shoot for even more singles Cali Gurls Teenage Dream Firework ET Peacock LFN TOTGA HH Shes pretty much guarnateed 6 solid singles. the three already, everyone seems to agree ET will at the least make top 10. Everyone also seems to agree LFN will smash. That momentum will be enough to carry a 6th single pretty far. Who knows how much radio would support a 7th single like HH or TOTGA I have always wished they would go back to the old format in the 80s and 90s of releasing 5-7 singles from an album as a standard but for some reason 4-5 singles still seems to be the standard.

Great for Em :) P.S It seems like Ri Ri's "Loud" has more longevity and stability than "Rated R"....Good for her! Was there a huge difference in sales from last year? I thought she was around this number with rated r before year end. yes there was loud is selling much better and faster

And some people said Recovery wouldn't benefit from the holiday season. Lets be honest here- this week it benefited mainly because of the discount and the banner. No shade. I love Eminem.

It had benefits also from Saturday Night Live, Christmas, iTunes, and a current single that is gaining at CHR radio. I did not expect him to be over 100k this week though :O

I don't think people are purchasing his records because they remembered a random song of his being played during televised professional baseball games.

And some people said Recovery wouldn't benefit from the holiday season. And some said that Taylor wouldn't hit 3 million. Thank you for pointing this out. Since Taylor will be over 3 million by January 1st, I am curious as to how much more it will sell during 2011, which largely depends on the singles chosen I suppose...

He is almost functionally illiterate. Someone said that Eminem would not benefit as much as Taylor, and that was obviously correct.

This, obviously, has not been the case.

I love the haters. Also i never said Taylor wouldn't hit 3,000,000 this year. You must be thinking off someone else.
I predicted Recovery would outsell Speak Now by 150K at years end. I was thinking 3,250,000 for Recovery and 3,100,000 for Speak Now.
Obviously i will be way wrong on Eminem since it looks like he will be at 3.4 Million by years end at least. So some of you just keep making stuff up as you go saying i said stuff i didnt. Haters gon hate.
Also push the button, Recovery came out like 4 months before Speak Now. Percentage wise Recovery is benefiting just as much as Speak Now.

And some people said Recovery wouldn't benefit from the holiday season. Will you please quit with this?! NOBODY said that. People said Eminem would not benefit as much as Taylor Swift, who had a more recent album. That was all part of the debate about who would have the best-selling album of 2010.
