"Wrecking Ball" is nominated for two MTV VMAs; Video of the Year and Best Direction. Now release the "4x4" video, perform on the show and re-launch the Bangerz album! No, they need to #getitright.

I don't get why "artists" think their tripping is interesting to anyone but themselves. What the hell are you even talking about? A shocking performance art video of Miley has surfaced today. Watch here NSFW

The fact they haven't pushed another single (particularly when there are so many radio-ready songs left on the album) is ridiculous.

August is almost over and still no "4x4" or any new promotion. Why a record label would ever want to end a successful era is beyond me.

Wasn't she talking about putting out an acoustic album this year? Did that get canned?
I didn't really expect the Bangerz era to be that long when she kept talking about future plans very often while WB was smashing (I know some were talking about a TD-type era, but I don't think she or her team ever had plans for anything that long-term), but I never expected them to drop the ball as suddenly as they did.

The Bangerz Tour apparently is banned in the Dominican Republic. And, Destiny Hope posted some spoofs of the "Anaconda" single cover- with one having Hannah Montana's head, and the caption "Hannah Conda."

They could have at least gone 4 singles deep and released one last single for the summer. Anyways, in case you missed it Miley won the biggest award at the MTV VMAs tonight; Video of the Year for "Wrecking Ball" and had a homeless Los Angeles youth accept the award. Lol, I didn't even know Miley had an NBC special recently. When was it on and how bad were the ratings?
I remember listening to this cd recently and not being all that impressed w/it. Perhaps I should give it another spin.

This album could have easily went 5 or more singles deep. "Someone Else", "Do My Thang", "FU", "Drive", and "#GETIRIGHT" were all hits waiting to happen.

Bangerz is stillllll selling so her label needs to get another single out there. Miley has lots of great stuff on her album.

They are not going to release another single. Adore You underperformed, but with the album selling decently and the tour going, they had more than enough opportunity to release another single in March or April. It's too late at this point.

Bangerz is stillllll selling so her label needs to get another single out there. Miley has lots of great stuff on her album. It's out of the Billboard 200, so it's clearly not selling that much. I think the album was perfectly serviceable, but I never saw much potential for hit singles outside of the first two. Some good songs, but nothing that would have turned this into a smash album. I think it was smart of her team to stop after Adore You to avoid any full on flops and keep Miley's profile low, especially when negative opinions of her were reaching a fever pitch.

I just listened to the album and I think "On My Own" is a standout track, she sounds amazing on it!

I still say they should put one more song out to radio. Miley is a fun girl. Her show was great as is Bangerz.

I still can't at how poorly mismanaged this album was in regard to singles. Fill an album with, undeniably, quality material, slap the justifiable title Bangerz on it, and then just drop the ball (plz no "Wrecking Ball" puns guys) completely. I LOVE "Adore You", but if they were gonna end the era on a third note, there were quite a few better choices that would've sustained this era a bit better. Smdh. Hell, scratch that. There is NO valid reason this album shouldn't have gone five singles deep with a good 500k padding its total.

It's frustrating how quickly they dropped the ball with the album after Adore You tanked, however, I think the main goal with Bangerz was to help Miley breakaway from Hannah Montana completely, which she has finally done. The next album will be crucial, they need a good 1-2-3 punch of solid singles to help stablish her as something more that the tongue-out-twerking girl who swings naked on wrecking balls.

It is kind of surprised to me that after her absolutely massive 2013 the label just let her drift in 2014. Sure Adore You didn't do well, but that's because it was the wrong single to follow up Wrecking Ball. How are you going to put out an album called Bangerz and not release any of the banger tracks? Do My Thang should have been the follow up to Wrecking Ball.

I wish she would've released another single, literally anything could've been a decent sized hit imo. All the tracks were great! (Especially Drive and Someone Else)

Sinead O'Connor has dragged Miley yet again. URGENT! DOES ANYONE KNOW THE WHEREABOUTS OF THIS GIRL’S PARENTS?Because they appear to be missing in action. In short, no human being on earth would be photographing, filming or watching my child-like looking daughter dressed as a stripper with a load of cash stuck in her mouth. Hello? Is anyone seriously calling this female empowerment? It is the exact opposite. Along with making a mockery of feminism, the music industry is consciously engaging in the sexualising of minors via the sexualising of artists who look like minors and whose audience are minors. If you imagine I’m talking bollox remember no one believed priests were sexualising minors either. I have a history of being right about these things.. Whether or not these artists feel its their ‘choice’ to be sold on the basis of their sexuality is beside the point. Their under-age audiences have been given no choice as to whether or not they want to be sexualised before their natural time. Not only are these artists being used in order to sexualise minors but also to make the same minors grow up not knowing the power music has to smash evil and create life. They think music is all about sex. Its a genius double win for an industry crawling with evil A whole generation is groomed and silenced. Source

I'm so sick of these ancient white scarecrows coming out of the woodworks to bash young female artists for embracing their sexuality. When will people realize that a brand of feminism that slut-shamed and/or implies that the only way a woman can have agency over her sexuality is to impress men is JUST as damning as thinking that you need to use your sexuality as a woman.
I hate Miley's culture stealing ass but I'm so sick of people acting like her being sexual is anti-feminist or degrading.

Sinead is making Miley all about sex and I don't think she was the first to discover priests and their love for little boys.

and I don't think she was the first to discover priests and their love for little boys. Very true. But she was one of the first famous ones to bring this to the public's attention before others were beginning to talk about it. She got dragged for talking about it.
