10. Rihanna, Loud, 586,000. This hit-studded album sold an additional 751,000 copies in 2010... Poor Brit Brit. I thought she was passed 600k

Just Can't Get Enough is not their highest charting single since IGAF... Imma Be hit #1 Also, this is the January 1 2011 - December 31 2011 midway, right? So not the Billboard December 1 2010 - November 30 2011 year.

Yup, it's the calendar year.
I thought he said JCGE is their best-seller since IGF.
Seems like Adele, Gaga & Mumford will keep the top 3 album spots through the summer.
Every week, it becomes more unlikely that Adele will be unseated. She won't stop selling!

Yup, it's the calendar year. I thought he said JCGE is their best-seller since IGF. Ok, then Firework still has a chance to be #1 year end...sorta "This piece of catchy radio fodder reached #3. It was the group's highest-charting hit since their 2009 blockbuster "I Gotta Feeling.""

"21" has moved 2,517,000 copies in the U.S. since its release on Feb. 22 -- through the week ending July 3, the mid-point of the tracking year. It's the only album to have sold more than 2 million in 2011, and one of only two to surpass 1 million. The second is Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," which has moved 1,540,000. (72% of that total was shifted in its debut week, when it started with 1,108,000 -- making it only the 17th album to sell a million in one week since SoundScan began tracking data in 1991.) 13 Taylor Swift Speak Now 563,000
It is at Taylor's lucky number 13. This should go up with a re-release this fall.

Very happy with that top 3...if only the numbers were a bit higher (though Adele's is high enough, especially considering she isn't slowing down).

So with numbers from the next week or so, the top 3 of the Billboard year will be Adele, Taylor Swift & Lady Gaga. Susan Boyle, Nicki Minaj & Rihanna follow. Good year for women! The top men on the list are Mumford & Sons, Jason Aldean & Kanye West.

I think Nicki ranks top 3 from November-present.

18 - 845,000 - GREATEST HITS…SO FAR - Pink
Sad to see it moving down, but it's to be expected. This is obviously the Billboard year and not the calendar year though, right? All of its sales have been in the BB chart year. There's no way this is calendar year or this wouldn't have this much in sales?
Edit: nvm. I misread. Those sales are the BB year.

It's crazy how Adele has already outsold the #1 seller in the 2008 calendar year and is within weeks of outselling the #1 seller in the 2009 and 2010 calendar years. The top sellers in 2006 and 2007 aren't too far off either, each with approximately 3.7 million copies sold.
Rolling In The Deep is close to outselling the #1 digital song in the 2009 calendar year as well.

...the heck? The same goes for Gaga, with 3,000 copies less in the Billboard year. Someone at Billboard is trolling us.

possibly street date violations? Or just a glitch? After all, Billboard year only counts weeks on the Billboard 200 itself

I have a feeling things will really pick up on that front as we see the release of Lil Wayne, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Lady Antebellum, Drake and many other anticipated albums in the next few months. We didn't have THAT phenomenal of a fourth quarter last year so I have a feeling this year will be relatively strong and we'll end up matching the # million-sellers we had last year, if not maybe a couple more
