Ideally, Cherilyn would be doing press in the U.S. and the U.K. the week of the release but that won't happen. I wonder if they're hoping for a Grammy nomination and trying to meet the deadline? I don't see why it should, to a certain extent. She can't be the first artist to release an album while on tour. But I'm hoping she's done a few prerecorded interviews. And if she hasn't, a live broadcast from wherever she's at with ET on DQ's release certainly wouldn't hurt. Very badly timed tour when she should be doing promo. If they released the album now she could do a few appearances. And she definitely should do at least one song LIVE. ((SiGh...)) she can piss me off at times.

Obviously, Cher had no time to do a proper video due to the badly timed events of her tour. I was amazed watching this video - I don't think she's done one in the last 20 yrs where there's not a single male in sight. I'm thinking the concept here is about female empowerment, especially with what's going on today in Hollywood. On the flip side, could this be a nod to the lesbian community? Either way, it's thought provoking and should appeal to women. I miss not seeing Cher but I recall Elton John did a video once where he didn't appear in it and it had no affect on the popularity of the song. SOS has been picking up moves/points on the dance chart and looks to he headed there to join Gimme!Gimme! Gimme!. Word out is that the latter will also see a video released soon, possibly along the same lines.

Wow, the video is a great nod to some of Abba's completely ridiculous yet now hilarious music videos. Good job, Cher.

Basically, women being the savior of each other (the SOS) and not relying on men to "rescue them." I thought it was a pretty powerful theme.

That's right - I forgot about that. I was not a big fan of the song or video. After it was leaked months in advanced I thought she should've gone with I Walk Alone as her first single. The Pink-penned song had, imo, more universal appeal. Thanks for the reminder-

One of Us is out now. It's quite lovely. It's quite a bit more melancholy than the sing-a-long style of Abba.

I really like this version of One of Us. It's my favourite song so far. Can't wait to hear her cover of Chiquitita.
I'm very excited about this whole project. I think she did great job with Fernando and Super Trouper in Mamma Mia and the whole album of Cher singing ABBA songs is something that I never knew I always wanted.

Cher's version of One Of Us is so old-school beautiful. Just a simple very passionate song in a classic CHER way. Love it.

@cher
I’m thrilled if the music lifts you up, makes you want to sing & dance around your room....Or helps you cry & not feel completely alone. These can be strange times. I was beyond excited singing these songs, & I hope You’re HAPPY🎉listening to them 💋 Me

Love Cher's vocals. Sounds crisp and so Cher. Her voice is still strong!

She really shines through with the ballads since the album make minimum changes to the instrumental and pretty much put her vocals in the highlight. Truly a legendary gay icon.

She sounds great! I'm not a huge fan of ABBA, really... so I like her putting her voice on their songs as an alternative.

On 9/27 her list of No. 1's also included the following (added to her other No. 1's that haven't changed):
Album: Dancing Queen
iTunes:
#1 Egypt #1 Luxembourg #1 Malaysia #1 Malta #1 Namibia #1 Russia #1 South Africa #1 Taiwan #1 Turkey #1 United Arab Emirates #1 Vietnam
CTTT came in at 63K in 2013 so I believe she's probably surpassed that for DQ. Problem is that Lil Wayne came from out of nowhere with his release. With the amount of streams he gets he will easily overtake a possible No. 1 from Cher. Guess we find out her chart position on Tuesday. I believe she should be in the Top 5, probably no. 3
Bubbling under the Top position (Which was Cher, Today):
