The new edition of Los Vaqueros is out this week and early HITS projections show it coming in between 1-3 on the BB200, thus making it likely to break Shakira's mark for an all-Spanish language (minus a few English guest appearances (hello my boy Sean Kingston! )) in the US. Funny that it will be a reggaeton album 5 years after reggaeton allegedly collapsed. Tu Olor, Fever, and, of course, Zun Zun Rompiendo Caderas are highlights of this stellar album in my book. I did my part and bought a physical copy (not easy to track one down in Colorado) in the effort to beat Nicki and the Grammy Noms compilation for the top spot this week.

It made it to #8, thank god, they did not deserve #1. Fijacion Oral got to #4 with 5 times more than what they sold.

Seeing as how no one has heard of Amos Lee (the actual #1), it's not like W&Y weren't undeserving. They at least made one of the best albums of their career (still undecided on whether it tops La Revolucion).

So how many units did it actually sell? These days, you can sell 100 copies and crack the top 100. bahahahahaha.
And yes, reggeaton is officially dead--has been for a few years.
