Here is the whole song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkGsUfYah7AThe song is fantastic. I'm just worried that it won't be a hit because it's not being put out by Rascal Flatts or Kenny Chesney. I did see them perform it live this week. I did not like it so much live because they used a gimmick (which is not like them). I think the new single should be sung straight not gimmicky. They used fans from the crowd to sing the oooh oooh oooh part. It cheesed it up a bit. Emerson Drive doesn't need to cheese it up. They have the talent to play it straight so not sure why they did it. But the song, which was co-written by Danick Dupelle is one of the best new country songs I've heard in a while. Am I biased? Of course. Look at my name. But I've never thought these guys get enough respect. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the song though.

This is another Hey Soul Sister / Stuck Like Glue / Stay The Night kind of song. And that's no good anymore.

This is another Hey Soul Sister / Stuck Like Glue / Stay The Night kind of song. And that's no good anymore. I agree. I like the song, but the first thing I thought of when I heard it was how similar it is (musically) to "Hey Soul Sister".

Interesting comparison to those songs. I actually hate all of those songs so I would never have made it. I can see the point though.
What I immediately thought was this does not sound like an Emerson Drive song. And I'm not too fond of the OOH OOH stuff. But the song will get stuck in your head and make you feel happy. I know I'm biased, but I have not liked everything this band has put out despite my name. The horror that was an overproduced Belongs To You still gives me a headache, as have more than one of their album cuts. Still, I'm a fan of their talent and their personalities, and they have put out some good songs over the years.
The real thrill with these guys is seeing them live. They play like an up and coming bar band (meaning play hard) and they live to entertain. I also saw a YouTube video for Winnipeg of Let Your Love Speak. They sang it straight there so hopefully the gimmick is over.
Someone also mentioned Decade of Drive in Canada. I also have that cd. It is worth having for the new material. The re-worked acoustic versions of Belongs To You (in other words they way it should have been released to radio), November, and Last One Standing are really good. The 3 new songs are When I See You Again (well done song but I'm not a huge fan of it being a single), Let Your Love Speak, and Sleep It Off (which they performed last year at the Riverfront and got huge positive reactions from the crowd). What's weird is that none of the 3 new songs sound anything alike. The 4th new song She's My Kind of Crazy (which will be on the deluxe Decade of Drive) is even more different. So I do believe this is a band still struggling to find its sound. I just hope they do because they work hard and have the talent behind them.

I like this one upon first listen and can see this being a song to really grow on me and hopefully others over repeated listens/plays.

I love this! I saw this is doing great in Canada like always. The lack of airplay on US country stations is sad. They deserve better. Cute and fun video.

Okay first I'll say that I like the song. It's catchy and fun. But I'm not surprised at the lack of US airplay. The band released a single while touring in another country and did not go on a radio blitz to promote it. In fact, their promotion efforts have been minimal. They don't have a major label working for them so they have to take it upon themselves. They're not so another good song will be wasted in the US.
Secondly, I will say that I HATE the video! It looks like a giant frat party, and quite frankly they're too old for that since the average age of the band members is about 35 years. After making a big deal in Country Weekly about them being "all grown up" after 10 years in the business, they give us a video that would have worked for the band 10 years ago but not now. I know they need eye candy in the video, but we see more of that brunette drinking out of the pineapple than we do 2/5 of the band. It was the direction I was afraid they'd go but the one I hoped they wouldn't take. I can't see either US video outlet playing this. Quite honestly I find it beneath them.
I love the band and have the utmost respect for their talent. Their live show is head and shoulders above anyone else's in the business right now, and they do it without the bells and whistles and pyro. If you don't believe me, head over to youtube and check out some of thee live footage clips there. They have made a decade long career based on pure talent and musicality. I respect that so much.
I'm not sure what they need to do to get back into favor at US radio. Everything is so political so it would take a masterpiece like Moments to do it (and no that does not mean release a bunch of boring ballads that could be Moments 2.0). And it will take them lobbying for it. IMO it is time to drop this one and release a new song. Then go on a radio tour and show up and deliver the single in person. Make them want to play it. I think Sleep It Off is a better choice for US radio, and I hope they consider that. Unfortunately if it did have an impact, summer would be over before it happened, and Sleep It Off is a much better summer song than this one.
As things go now, they will continue seeing success in Canada. Canadian law requires that a certain percentage of radio content comes from Canadian artists. But they will need to seriously step up their business game to get back respect in the US. I hope they can because just like the previous poster, I believe they do deserve it.
