Top 40 on Active:
54 40 RED Feed The Machine 191 67 124 0.355
Looks like it'll do some damage.

nice increase despite wasting time to release it as their 1st rock single from the album

I'd agree with Pen, this is great, but "Faceless" was more obvious for rock radio success. Top 20, yes. Top 10, no.

I think this will do better than "Faceless" would have. My local active rock station premiered "Faceless" on their 'hit or diss' segment, and the calls they got were largely negative saying "I've heard this a million times before...snoozefest". I don't think "Feed The Machine" would get the same neutral reaction.

I'd say #11/12 on Active. I'd agree with David's prediction for Alt.

You seem pretty confident, but wait... I'd say #11/12 on Active. Livin' a bit dangerously aren't we? #11 is your best guess, but top 10 won't happen? All it takes is a little luck as far as what's on the chart at that point.

I'll go with #7 on active and #42 on alternative, though Devin's picks sounds perfect to me for Billboard Mainstream Rock/Alternative.

Haha the optimism of everyone else made me re-think slightly, perhaps. ;) I'll go with #12.

^^Yeah, though your predictions have been the closest on several songs so you gotta be careful about letting us crazies sway you in the wrong direction. I just feel good about this track in general.

On Alternative, hope it surprises me and does something.

where the heck is the song, i thought "rope"'s release was going to affect feed the machine's appearance in the top 40 only for yesterday

It's at 193 spins and in the #41 position currently. It hasn't gained much since thundering into the top 40 3 days ago.

40 41 RED - Feed the Machine 213 198 15 0.463
Hm, my prediction might be looking rather generous right now.

It's like the label gave it a big push then left it to fend for itself

Can't believe it's slowed down so much.

Well it got a handful of adds this week, and never officially went for adds on FMQB or allaccess, so we'll see. I'm not panicking yet. Considering they waited until now to even release it in the first place, it seems like active rock radio is a really low priority for them this era, so any lack of success would probably be attributed to the label saying "screw this" rather than the song actually flopping.

Watch You Crawl...I think Clint Lowery co-wrote the song.
