This song never gets old.
Here's another version of the song. I remember hearing different vocals on the hook.

Wasn't this the first rap song to hit #1 in airplay in Billboard History?

Wasn't this the first rap song to hit #1 in airplay in Billboard History? On Hot 100 airplay, no. Though the song did spend 11 (!) weeks at #1 on Billboard's Rhythmic airplay chart.

Enjoyable, but not my favorite SNP track.
Salt had issues with the lyrics for later performances (because of finding religion) and altered some of them, but I believe she came around and eventually performed it as is.

One of their best, for sure. Anyone who is anyone knows that first verse.

My nostalgia video for the day belongs to Salt-N-Pepa. Shoop is one of my favorites. :)

I remember the video very well. The beach and soul train like dance scenes.

Good song. One of their best from their 1993 album alongside "Whatta Man" w/En Vogue though I liked this one slightly more. This song got heavy airplay on my top 40 station, B96 in Chicago, back then.

How is there no discussion of the line about having someone sound like a re**rd? They should at least edit that line on streaming, radio, etc.

Stone cold classic and a certified bop. I think this kills harder now than it did back in 93, never fails to get people hyped. Further proof that 90's hip hop will always be the best.
