Is there a reason why songs only spend 1 week at #1 on this chart? You'd have to go back to 2009 to see a song even spend 2 weeks at #1.

because the chart is totally bogus

the whole thing is a huge joke. songs go #1 for a week and then fall to #12 the next week. it really disgusts me

...especially right now where the trend is any pop song that gets a remix goes #1 based solely on he power and popularity of the artist and real dance artists don't stand a chance or doing well on their own chart!

^^Ono Mind Train at #1? That's a "real dance artist" to me, and this is the ONLY place it would go to the top. I agree that this chart is bogus, but I actually like that songs stay at the top for 1 week and then you get a new #1. I wish radio were more like that. More variety, instead of the "same 5 songs, 15 times a day for 3 months." (thank you, Sagat)

Promotion, promotion, promotion....apparently it is not in the interests of the record companies/promoters to have a song remain at #1 more than one week. They feel a number one is a number one....end of story. I feel it reduces the integrity of the chart, since the dance community/DJs could NOT possibly lose interest in these records so quickly. I continually hear Rihanna's Only Girl and Katy's Firework in peak time rotation (to phenomenal response mind you) yet these records hit #1 for their single week and are now loooong since gone from the chart.... really?
