This is supposedly the second urban single from F.A.M.E. It samples SWV's "Right Here/Human Nature". This has a good sound for spring/summer but I'm kind of disappointed that the sample is so heavy.

I thought they woulda did a urban track to go alongside Beautiful People.....this is more like a crossover which kinda defeats the purpose of BP (not sure if theyre still releasing that tho.....)

For me the sample only adds to the greatness of the song, which is lyrically pretty darn good. Definitely one of Chris' strongest singles.

its very cheesy but it will work. They need to send this to all formats. Beautiful people is a flop.

Chris announced it in an interview and his aunt announced it on twitter.
Beautiful People is up to #13 on Australia itunes.
I'd prefer SAY as a multiformat smash.
It's a remix of a remix. I think it was pretty smart/safe. If he had directly sampled another MJ song people would complain and compare more.

This might have worked as a pop single in 2005/2006 but I think the only songs he has on this album that he can release to pop/urban/rhythmic simultaneously across the board are Say It With Me and Oh My Love. Pop radio is not really into these R&B midtempos right now.

Mike Posner and Jason Derulo beg to differ. I don't think All Back would work at all on pop no matter how good the song is. But I think SAY will work.
I like both SIWM a lot and Oh My Love but I have some issues with those. And they would not work as crossover records.

Mike Posner and Jason Derulo are dance/pop artists, not releasing R&B slow jams. ???

This isn't an R/B slow jam. No BS is an R/B slow jam. Wet the Bed is an R/B slow jam.
This is a midtempo popish sounding song that's no cheesier than Cooler than Me or any of Derulo's midtempo songs.

I'm liking this atm. I think this should be the Pop/Rhythmic single as well, it has the crossover appeal. 'Beautiful People' might be huge in the Europe but I don't think it's gonna do well in the US, it's too Dance/House for the radio.

This is a good song. He should try to release it to pop radio just to see what it does. This sounds like a hit on urban/rythmic radio. But this song has a good r&b feel to it.

YES! This song was very instant for me. I'm surprised (but glad) to see it as a single already. It seems more like a summer single.

Mike Posner and Jason Derulo beg to differ. Mike Posner and Jason Derulo are dance/pop artists. "Cooler Than Me" was electro/pop, this is clearly more R&B sounding. There's no real crossover hits on the album, they either appeal to pop or urban/rhythmic. This is a rhythmic hit.

And Chris is R/B and pop. Hence it being more R/B sounding.Mike Posner and Derulo have released midtempos that have been supported by pop. Who else was releasing midtempo R/B songs to pop to say what they won't play. We'll have to wait and see. Next 2 You is scheduled to be next pop single.

Mike Posner's hits were not R&B. The comparison makes no sense. He was singing songs that were midtempo but had dance beats.

The comparison makes sense. Likening this song to No BS or Wet the Bed makes no sense. Denying that this song has any pop appeal at all makes no sense.

What? Why not WET THE BED? ??? To change up the pace in terms of theme. He hasn't had a love song sent to Urban since "With You." I'm willing to bet that "Up 2 You" and "Wet The Bed" will be released and one of them will likely be a dual Urban single with a more Pop oriented song from the "Fortune" LP.

I love it! No Brainer! Chris just needs to keep his mouth shut long enough for this to hit.
