And why in God's name is Adele nominated for so many awards? It's the VIDEO music awards. She sat her ass down in a chair with vibrating cups. I tend to agree with this. I love Adele to the absolute death, but it was the song that was big. The video wasn't that special at all, tbh. If she wins, Kanye better on stand-by. |

Firework was inspiring and deserves to win every award it is nominated for. The rest of the videos are all crap...this was not a very good year. Gaga doesn't deserve to win the 3 she got nominated for but I appreciate them not putting her in VOTY.

OOTB was a standard, successful debut era. TD was not the norm. To compare the two eras is just laughable and dumb as f**k to be quite frank. To expect her to repeat success that only few have seen is unrealistic. But instead of pointing out ur predictions of her future success which has little to do with the vmas noms thread you should worry about ur.fave even coming close to slayty's stats. It seems to really bother you which makes it so much more rewarding for Katy's fans. Muah....run along.now. |

Would someone like to tell me why sitting in a chair for 4 minutes with vibrating cups and a ninja dancing in chalk dust gets seven nominations, while blowing up unicorns with rainbow lasers or kidnapping people to whip them/being trapped behind transparent tape while journalists write down everything you say gets nothing?
Yes, "Rolling in the Deep" should be nominated... at a show for music. But this is a show for videos, and the "Rolling in the Deep" video is just... bland.
