I'm not one of them. Unless they have a decent next single, no thanks.

I'm surprised people are suddenly hating on them based on this record. Sure, it's bad, but so was the last one. Nothing much has changed, except maybe a slight dip in quality. "Hurricane" was the only song I could listen to the whole way through.

"Hurricane" was the only song I could listen to the whole way through. You see I actually liked "Scars and Souvenirs" alot. The problem with the new album is that it's full of songs like "Bad Girlfriend" and "Hate My Life". 1. "So Happy" was generic but listenable. 2. "By the Way" was a terrific song. 3. "Got It Made" was a catchy number. 4. "Not Meant to Be" was a little dull but not a bad song 5. "Crutch" was nothing special but didn't attack my senses 6. "All or Nothing" was nice ballad, one of their best 7. "Heaven (Little by Little)" was another great ballad. 8. "Bad Girlfriend" a gulity pleasure that was rather bad. 9. "Hate My Life" a stupid but fun song. 10. "Little Smirk" was catchy and stupid. 11. "End of the Summer" was a nice if forgettable song 12. "Wait for Me" another nice ballad 13. "Sacrifice" was agreat rocker.

^ I feel pretty much the same. But I think it's because I was in love with Theory of a Deadman and Gasoline. But TTI... is just a couple of leaps too far. I hope it's their record label pushing this on them, not their selves, because that would be pretty poor.

This is when Pen steps in to blame Roadrunners, but I really think the band had control over the cock-rock lyrical content of this album & the last one. At least, "Hurricane" reminded me of their older material. I would be hugely surprised if they released it as single, however.

^ Yeah, maybe it'll be like the six-hundredth single, which will only reach Top 20 when following-up a Top 3 hit, therefore sending one of the cockiest, stupidest songs on the album to save it's 'floppiness'. I betcha the next single will be "The Truth Is... (I Lied About Everything)" ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

I think they'll go with "Bitch Came Back" to try and replicate the "Bad Girlfriend" success. What do we care, though? Theory seem to be the most hated band on Pulse, currently.

"Head Above Water" possibly will be another "Not Meant to Be", while "Out of My Head" will act like an "All or Nothing" I think.
Anyways, "Lowlife" still has a chance of going #1 on Active (it's almost Top 5), so we'll discuss this later.

Theory seem to be the most hated band on Pulse, currently. It's because Hinder hasn't released anything recently.

^I also think Hinder's most recent singles haven't been as bad as "Lowlife".
And @ Dev, I think "Lowlife" will miss #1. It's hated enough that I think even active rock radio will be smart enough to realize that it's not #1 material. I agree that it has a shot though. I just think that there are several songs that could overtake it, and I think Adelitas Way's "Sick" is early enough in it's chart run to stake out the #1 spot for awhile now that it's flown so far ahead of Sixx: A.M. and Seether. Hopefully that and "So Far Away" or "Walk" can keep T.O.A.D. from sneaking in there.

You people make this band sound worse than they are. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) I actually did buy the album today, but I'll have to give it a listen.

I used to. And still can occasionally. But most of their songs are pretty tough for me to sit through. I haven't checked out "Hurricane" yet, but from what everybody's saying, it sounds like it's the one song I'm gonna potentially like on this record.

I don't blame Roadrunner.
I'm blaming the chicks they're co-writing with. That's right, I said it. Look, women have co-written on "Bad Girlfriend", "Hate My Life", "Little Smirk", "Bitch Came Back", "Lowlife", and "Gentleman". I rest my case.

I'm a massive Nickelback fan, which means I have no snobbishness when it comes to music but Theory's latest album is very lazy stuff. An album is allowed 1 or 2 questionable songs, but this new Theory album goes way over quota. Also, you should of listened to this album before you purschased it. If Nickelback released this album I wouldn't buy it.

However, it really bothers me when people blindly hate on bands. I give every Nickelback and Theory Of A Deadman song a chance before trashing it, and in both bands' cases, the recent output is the main cause of my disdain for them. And each of those albums has songs that I will concede are fine enough, but a few above average songs does not a good album make.

Except when my wife kills roaches in our apartment for me while I'm screaming like a three year old girl. That's when I have to be thankful for all of the women out there ;)

I just can't ever discard a band completely even though they continue to make albums that I never end up liking. I'm going to check out TOAD's new album at some point. Am I really looking forward to it? Not really at all. Especially from reading all of the reviews on here and after a few listens of "Scars & Souvenirs," I couldn't take it anymore. I like Nickelback's early albums much more than their later ones since they added in some cock-rock related tracks, but I've never really understood all the hate. I think they still make some decently talented songs. Some just I feel shouldn't have hit as big as they did.

Theory seem to be the most hated band on Pulse, currently. It's because Hinder hasn't released anything recently. The last Hinder album was OK for them, actually. A lot of people seemed to like the "All American Nightmare" single on here. Their latest single is weak, but isn't pathetic enough to be hated like "Lowlife." TOAD are hated on more these days, I would say. They would redeem themselves hugely in my books if they released "Hurricane" next, but I think there's about a 5% chance of that happening.

I've come to find the last Hinder album was their worst. A few keepers, but more of the same in some areas.
