I stand corrected! Kris will go tonight. Charice will be the only top 50 entry, though. Theory of a Deadman will be sucked back in, but they were #50 last week. At least we have two top 40 entries from Christina and Usher. Selena Gomez and Ke$ha are the top 20 entries. Nice batch there.  Taio Cruz finally top 10. Jason Derulo grabs his second #1 with his second single! :o I see big things in his future. |

LLWD will go recurrent and I think AIEW will go back to #41 in the evening update. BBB also won't be purged this week because it'll go up to #40. Next week, however, I think BBB will definitely be purged and there's a chance that AIEW might too. |

Kelly and Ke$ha are not getting purged this week. Ke$ha will be sucked back inside the top 40 once Kris goes, so that automatically kills any chances from it being purged. Kelly will be pulled to #41. I've never seen a song get purged at #41. Also, it's spin loss isn't very high. Just a -54. It could still do a turnaround.

Three songs went recurrent on the Alternative chart from within the top 20 (#17, #18, and #20). It looks like the new Mediabase rule is below top 15, not below top 20.

Train Top 5, amazing effort !! Interesting. They were ahead by 1 spin on the morning update but behind by 3 spins on the evening update. And it's no guarantee they'll get top 5 this coming week, either; "Nothin' on You" isn't too far behind and has a similar bullet, and the only song either would pass this week is "Imma Be". It'll probably make top 5 at some point, but stranger things have happened. |

Wow!! More changes! So Taylor got a new peak thanks to this change, same for John Mayer. At the rate Sexy Bitch was falling, it would have gone recurrent in 3 weeks tho. Orianthi was going recurrent next week anyway. And I was ready to celebrate Lady Gaga having 3 songs inside the top 20 again. Don't think that will happen if the new rule is recurrency below 15  I don't like this change too much though. If a song still has those many spins should be still considered in the ranking. We are not in the AC chart where songs were having runs of more than a year  |

From All Access... Mediabase Institutes New Recurrent Rules
Effective this week, MEDIABASE has modified its recurrent rules. On the Top 40, Rhythmic, Urban, Active Rock, and Alternative charts, downtrending songs below #15 are now removed after 20 weeks. On the Hot AC and Triple A chart, downtrending songs below #10 are now removed after 26 weeks, while downtrending songs below #15 are still removed after 20 weeks.www.allaccess.com/ |
