Lol @ only one song from that Glee episode charting.
So happy for Adele! This will easily sell in excess of 4 million when all is said and done.

Country Girl is very good.. It'll reach number one at Country Songs at some point. I expect his album will easily go Top 3 too.

Impressive (and frustrating) that Nicki spent 10 weeks in the top 20 without ever hitting the top 10.
The Script's "Breakeven" spent 16 weeks in the top 20 without hitting top 10. I imagine Paula Cole probably has the longest top 20 chart run for a non-top 10 hit with "I Don't Want to Wait," but I don't know how long that was.

Interesting to note that Billboard still credits Britney Spears for S&M So Britney has 3 songs on Hot 100 04 01 15 Rihanna Featuring Britney Spears, S&M 11 09 08 Britney Spears, Till The World Ends 76 66 15 Britney Spears, Hold It Against Me -- still charting

Bruno Mars is establishing himself quite well this debut era. If "Don't You Wanna Stay" were picking up crossover airplay at a more rapid rate, then that single could potentially enjoy a 40+ week chart run, but it seems to be at a race with the clock in that digital sales will only continue to decline along with its weekly Country airplay, and its bid for crossover spins is not keeping pace with that thus far. Hold It Against Me might end up with the same number of weeks that 'Gimme More' spent in the Hot 100, 18, despite the bigger peak, airplay and sales peak (and more weeks at the top 10).

"I Don't Want To Wait" spent 19 weeks in the Top 20 (also its first 19 weeks on the Hot 100, after debuting, appropriately, at no. 19). By the end of its run, it had tallied an impressive 56 weeks on the chart.

Rebecca black's last week on the hot 100. Friday spent 6 weeks on the hot 100, and is number 100 this week, and has been declining week after week. I do think her second single has a CHANCE to chart first week from digital sales.

Billboard.com has removed Ms. Spears' name from the "S&M" credit for the 5/7 chart- apparently, it was a glitch that resulted in her name appearing when the charts were updated.

Ridiculous. An artist got a number one without spending two weeks on chart. Billboard really should revise these things.
TTWE won't be number one next week but will Kesha and Nicki Minaj get credits or are labels after the credit only when their songs go to number one?

During the week it went #1, the Britney version was the reason, hence the listing. The version of the song driving the popularity will be the one that gets the listing. This of course can change from week to week.

Well, I believe that's not really a good rule, especially when so many remixes are going to come out now that pop stars saw the success of the idea.
I believe the version with the most radio airplay should be the version credited. Radio reaches a bigger amount of people than legal downloads.

In the life of a song, remix versions rarely have any lasting impact

Yeah, I have to agree, usually I am in step with BB's chart decisions, but this is crazy.
I remember as far back as 1994 when singles by Brandy and Craig Mack got to new chart peaks when they remixed their singles and added rappers to their hits ("I wanna be down" and "Flava in ya ear", respectively). This affected both sales and airplay significantly, but the featured artists weren't added to the credits midstream - they never have been! Unless of course it is a significant - and permanent - change (see N Sync's "Girlfriend" with Nelly or Sean Paul's song with Keshia Cole)
