Nicki Minaj quietly got a top 5 airplay smash there. Though what a gap between #'s 4 & 5. :o :o

Wow BTW is REALLY dropping... I wonder if this will even be heard on radio in 6 months? I personally like the song but for a song that topped the Hot 100 or 6 weeks... this is a little odd.

Glee will cover BTW on their next episode.
It should give it the extra push to go recurrent.

Wow BTW is REALLY dropping... I wonder if this will even be heard on radio in 6 months? I personally like the song but for a song that topped the Hot 100 or 6 weeks... this is a little odd. "Born This Way" was publicized prior to its release as a generational anthem, more than anything. Where her previous releases were essentially regarded as radio hits, "Born This Way" has been both praised and criticized (sharply, in many respects) altogether differently in that it is more a statement song. Statement songs, overall, tend to require time and repeated listen to appreciate to a fuller extent. They always appear either awkward, preachy and/or intimidating in their wake. Perhaps, chances are, "Born This Way" will never catch on to some listeners. I can see the Asian American community rolling their eyes in the long run over the needless use of "orient" in the song's lyrics, for one. But I think it's even more likely that this will catch on than not in the long-term among a broader pool of listeners, in that as they hear the song continuing to play in clubs, GLBTQ pride fundraisers and meet-ups, and a whole gamut of volunteer-driven events centered around recognizing the full potential in individuals like Easter Seals (and the autistic/neurodiversity community)...................it will sink deeper into generational consciousness and enjoy staying power as ubiquitous anthemic wallpaper music. It's dropping like a reinforced chunk of cinder block presently because it has spurned those inevitable "awkward", "preachy" and "intimidating" reactions, thus rendering it an especially divisive song in this radio climate that will hinder its callout and demand. Plus, when the likes of Elton John and others bill this as a larger-than-life record that will blow you away and eclipse "I Will Survive" as the quintessential gay pride anthem........and yet upon release can't help but underwhelm many listeners who were expecting something beyond the threshold of expectation only to find something many insist is a duplicate of "Express Yourself".........you know you're setting yourself up for a sharper chart decline. But keep your ears open for this song two years from now. I for one am willing to bet, beyond perhaps Z100, you'll be hearing this MUCH more often than any other Lady Gaga single to date with the likely exception of "Bad Romance" and, to a lesser extent, "Just Dance" just about anywhere you go in public. Clubs, bars, festivals, fashion shows, benefit walks and parades, background music at graduations..............you name it. "Born This Way" is a breed of song that is meant to be played in ways many other radio hits fail to achieve. Because, regardless of which Lady Gaga song is actually better in your view........in the end, do you expect to hear "Born This Way" or "Poker Face" at an anti-bullying awareness event? Do you expect to hear "Born This Way" or "LoveGame" at a Walk Now for Autism Speaks event? "Alejandro" at a Lane Bryant fashion show promoting plus-size pride? Don't make me laugh. Didnt think anyone had a chance of beating Katy this week, but Adele might just do it. She almost has a 2:1 lead over ET on iTunes right now.

Finally someone (sans Judas) gets a higher AI gain that ET :) 8. BLACK EYED PEAS - Just Can't Get Enough: 72.438 (+ 2.030) The competition will be gruesome in their bid to find a week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, with "Judas" freshly released and Beyonce's latest only beginning to sink in. The sentimental charge surrounding the song's video has also worn off to an extent since it vaulted toward the top of the iTunes chart. Still, it is a good sign that their digital figures are keeping steady as their airplay figures increase. With "Judas" (at least so far) struggling to flex a firm chart-conquering fist-clench, and the reaction surrounding Beyonce's latest offering suggesting it will be a grower if anything..............it's really just already-established competition that's keeping them outside the top spot. Should "E.T." and "Rolling In The Deep" run out of digital sale territory to mine within the coming week or two, while the Black Eyed Peas find a way to keep up their steady streak or even ante up on it.........I'd still say they're in a strong spot in the running for the chart's 1003rd (more likely 1004th with Adele's surging) #1 honor. TTWE is moving up decently- will its momentum continue enough for it to reach HIAM's peak? As for the "remix," if it's Nicki Minaj, I don't think it would see the kind of sales boost that "S&M" did, as Minaj's fanbase isn't as rabid as that of Spears. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but Rihanna's fanbase isn't quite as rabid as Spears', so I'd be surprised if the "remix" got the kind of boost from Rihanna fans as "S&M" did from Spears'.

10. BRITNEY SPEARS - Till The World Ends: 66.139 (+ 1.729) By this time HIAM was already falling, TTWE is blowing up again! :o You're forgetting that HIAM got off to a much bigger start. I doubt TTWE will outpeak HIAM's airplay despite the better longevity and the better song.I hope this remixes featuring high profile artists released in the middle of the song's chart run doesn't become a trend. I mean, I was fine with E.T. since it was released before the song started it's run. But then 'S&M' did it just for the #1 peak, and that was fine but now 'Till The World Ends' will get a remix too... That could end up having a bad effect on album sales, since the customers might feel less inclined to buy an album if the remix/single versions aren't on it.

Can TTWE become Britney's highest charting on Hot 100 Airplay? #4 maybe? Her highest was HIAM, #5. Very great that TTWE stabilize, better than HIAM chart performance!

ET should be #1 for a few more weeks. Rolling in the Deep definitely will be a dark horse, though it doesn't look like this week given the American Idol performance of ET, but I'm still predicting that Judas will be the next #1 after more promotion/airplay and closer to the video/album releases.

Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus 'Born This Way' may be more likely to be played than her other hits at those events but would it be more likely played than a song such as Katy Perry's 'Firework'? 'Born This Way' came out at a time when a whole host of self-esteem boosting songs began playing on radio. Sure they're going to choose 'Born This Way' over 'Poker Face' for a plus-size pride fashion show but it would never come down to those two songs. It would more likely be between 'Born This Way' and 'Firework'. In that case, Firework would likely win since the songs seems to have resonated far more with the public. The vagueness of the lyrics allow it to broaden the amount of people who can relate to it instead of alienating certain demographics out. Plus the video for 'Firework' helped the message come across more. Whereas w/ 'Born This Way', it felt like so much of the message got lost in her presentation of the song. Perhaps people were too pre-occupied being puzzled/disturbed by the music video or Grammy performance to really let the message of the song sink in.

Britney won't need other fanbases to sell this remix. Her own fanbase is enough to propel this remix. All of her fans will download this new remix.

Now that the original version of S&M is the one getting most of the points again is Britney's name going to be taken off the chart listing? That's weird that its week at #1 will be a different listing than every other week possibly.

^So true Jazzy! Billboard started a nasty trend potentially. I'm sure they will be able to fix it though.
