THE WORLD IS ALIVE WITH CARRIES VOCALS Very reminisent of her SOUND OF MUSIC PERFORMANCE. Their are so many layers to her vocals that even she is still learning about em!!!! With performances like this it kind of makes awards irrelevant to say the least

Carrie Underwood to Speak Out At Meals Make Me HappyHappy, Hungry Children announces multi-platinum selling and Grammy Award winner Carrie Underwood as the keynote speaker for its annual, “Meals Make Me Happy,” conference sponsored by Nabisco, on Saturday, October 8, 2011, 2 p.m., at the SLC Conference Center, to raise funds and awareness on the youth hunger epidemic. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the conference will go to a national project to ship 30,000 lbs. of food per month to children suffering from starvation in third-world countries. --- Ah. Carrie sounds divine on "It Had To Be You". And, I'm wondering if Carrie & Brad are just getting together at the studio for their Country Weekly interview or maybe they're recording another duet for Carrie's upcoming album?

Gongrats to Carrie on her sixth CMA FVOTY nomination.
And her vocals on ''It Had To Be You'''are outstanding. She really can sing any genre.

Those are probably my favorite studio vocals from Carrie. I might prefer her singing Jazz to Country.

I mean. It would be cool for a random single drop on KISS. But..I doubt it. At any rate, I feel like by tomorrow we will know SOMETHING.

She turned down a prestigious opera scholarship to continue her training because she preferred musical theater. It's probably not always easy to let go of that training. She definitely sounds country when she talks.

Thanks for the heads up on Seacrest. They play KIIS on XM radio now and I'll cap that interview. Of course you all can stream it as well online.
ETA: Carrie sounds so good singing jazz. Too short though, I need her and Bennett on a full album!

And 9th, "So Small" should be soon to follow as they were very close in sales the last time I saw a sales report. December 2010, JAD was at 914,000 and SS was at 908,000. So SS could go platinum within a month or two.

Holy crap. In the past few days, we've gotten so much!
-CMA nod for FVOTY -new Olay promo ad coming soon -Brad took a picture w/ proof that she's working in the studio -It Had to Be You came out. -Country Weekly interview -E! News promo (last night -- was a good advertisement, too!) -JAD is Platinum -new KIIS interview -her two most recent albums are on sale at iTunes -Carrie confirms a CMT Crossroads
Like, we haven't had this much come up in a single week for a long time. I'm really, really hoping this could be a sign that some news will pop up about her new album, because I can't bear the wait much longer. The title, album art cover, the lead single, just something! I need an announcement soon.

^I certainly hope there is an announcement soon. I just want a yes or no to the single being out soon. That's all. I feel like right now I may be having false hope that the single will be out soon and I just want to know something. But with Carrie news comes out randomly sometimes. So Small was announced a few days before it came out and Cowboy Casanova was leaked a bit early with hardly any announcement. I'm hoping that something will come from all this silence like years past.

I definitely feel like we're right on the verge of some big announcement. And hopefully that announcement is either a new single or an album release date.

I can't get over that Tony duet. So amazing, and I don't just throw that word out. I'm definitely buying that album.

I feel like a bigger hype will be made from a bigger announcement. They usually drag things out as long as possible. But maybe an "all at once" approach might make for a bigger hype... I'm getting so anxious for this news! I need new Carrie ASAP.

The photographer who shot Carrie's previous print ads for Olay tweeted earlier today: @regancameron: Just finished a shoot with Carrie Underwood, really enjoy working with her, she is professional and beautiful, had some good tunes! And, on another note, the review's not up yet but All Music has "It Had To Be You" listed as a 'track pick' for Duets 2.

I really have a feeling we'll be getting big news from the Seacrest interview tomorrow. Album news, please!
And like everyone else, I absolutely love her vocals on "It Had to Be You."

We definitely are, it's been so quiet and in just a few days we've gotten all this promo right when "Remind Me" peaked. It's not all coincidence.

Typo, where did the gif in your avi come from? I love it Anyways, do we know if Duets II will have released official singles? On iTunes, Michael Bublè's duet is on sale individually before the album's release, and Tony and Carrie are doing promotion for It Had To Be You on Blue Bloods in a couple weeks, so are these hints that these will help promote the album?

:o is right. Seriously, Carrie's vocal versatility is so under-appreciated. I can not think of another country female artist in the recent past who even comes close to this talent. Her vocals are so gorgeously restrained, buttery smooth, and perfect suited for this classic jazz track. I also prefer her jazz vocals to her country vocals, lol. ETA: I would love a jazz Christmas album from Carrie someday !

^^Couldn't agree more, neally. And I just prefer Carrie's vocals in general. EDIT: Via Adrian from CF, Undo It debuted at #29 on the Australian Country chart 3 weeks ago, moved up to #28, and dropped back a spot to #29 this week. Nice to see the PO era continuing down under!

Carrie never fails to amaze me. Those soft buttery smooth vocals... especially during the later parts of the song.... where did that come from? So gorgeous :o Now I just need to know if Carrie has some hidden talent for rap LOL. Typo, where did the gif in your avi come from? I love it Not Typo, but that gif is from the recent E! News interview during Olay photoshoot. :)

I'm thinking we might get a pinch of album news soon, but I've got a hunch they're really gonna keep the lead single under wraps...and that Carrie will debut it at the iHeart Radio Festival and it will go to iTunes and radio after the show. That would just be perfect.
I'm not sure how much Carrie will get to perform but I could see her performing some of her biggest hits and then putting just the new single in there as well. That would be fabulous, and I think it's a huge opportunity...hopefully I'm not the only one thinking that. Hopefully Carrie and the label people have that as their plan, because it would just be so cool. But if not I guess it won't be a huge deal...as long as we get the single sometime soon, no matter how it premieres, it will still blow up big time, I'm certain of that!

It's weird how much you all think the new single will come out so soon while I don't get that vibe at all... For me, I feel like we won't get a new single before November, or even maybe next year... of course, I hope I'm dead wrong!!
