Why would Kelly do IKYW instead of one of the songs from her brand new album? I hope this isn't true. If IKYW gets to be performed on TV again, I want it to be Carrie. Those shows often include covers, I believe. An article said that Kelly would be doing that song again, to be clear.

I guess Kristyn Chenoweth isn't the only one covering a previously recorded Carrie song with Lessons Learned. Who's next, Adele? lol

On VH1 Divas, they do a solo song of their own, and then a cover of a song with the original artist. Maybe the IKYW cover would be a collaboration with Carrie...?!

Watching tv this afternoon and a commercial comes on. It looks to be a new Olay commercial with Carrie Underwood. She walks in looking beautiful and say something about "After a long day at rehearsals, I want my skin to feel clean and fresh" then she spashes her face with water like in her other ad. Then all of the sudden, Brad Paisley is splashing his face and saying "My pores feel so alive when I'm hosting the CMA awards" Carrie's faces she is making at him are hilarious. Then he puts on his hat that is full of water. Very unexpected and VERY funny.

Thanks to Maddkat for posting these Country Weekly scans over at the FC: 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5. Brad: When can we expect your next album?
Carrie: I don't know. It's hard to ballpark it because I feel like in my past three albums, we've always stamped a date before we even started the project. There's so many people that are involved in the process that aren't as involved as I am and they want something - "Give us something." It's not that easy and I don't want it to be that easy. I just want to take some time for myself, to grow up a little bit and just to figure out what's next. Just like I was saying, I want this fourth year of us hosting to feel different, look different. I can look at a picture...think of a moment and be like, "That was number four." I want that to be the same way with this album. When I think of a moment or an outfit or a photo shoot or a song I could be, like, "That was album four," and just remember that when I'm like 90 years old, that it just feels completely different than album 3. So [regarding the release date] you will know when I know. I know I've already posted the summary but it just sounds so much better coming straight from Carrie. This album... :'(

I like how she worded all of that.

That CMA commercial of Carrie and Brad is perfect. Carrie becomes more beautiful with time.
Also, I like what she's saying about album #4, I can wait for quality.

Carrie (sort of) won an ICM Award last night. Best Inspirational Movie went to Soul Surfer
She lost Mainstream Country Artist to Jeff Bates (?), and lost Mainstream Country Video to Hello World by Lady Antebellum. Oh, well. MS isn't exactly "faithful/inspirational" the way TH is, so I can see why she won last year as opposed to winning this year.
I wonder if she still gets recognition (a trophy) for the SS win...? Anyone have this answer?

^ I think awards for movies go to their producers.

On another note, I have a connection to a man in Nashville who is recording he drums for Carrie's next album. He told my friend the other day that it is nearing completion and that it is definitely "better than her last album" and "folksy" and that they could have a single out "by the end of the year if they wanted".

Glad to hear! :) That's exciting. If that is all completely true and they do release a single by the end of the year, maybe the ACAs will be a decent platform to start it off with? [I'm partially saying that just because I'm going and want her to premiere it there for very selfish reasons. ]

Thanks, I really like the '''better then her last album'' and ''folksy'' part. She already said that it might be folksy at the Billboard interview, which I liked from the start. Good to know they're nearing the completion of the album, and Carrie has also said that she has a lead single in mind. I'm still thinking early 2012, but it's good to know they could release it earlier if they wanted to.

ABC aired a Road To The CMA Awards special this weekend which featured a recap of Carrie & Brad's previous hosting duties alongside some nice commentary from other country music stars (Aldean, Lambert, The Band Perry): On another note, I have a connection to a man in Nashville who is recording he drums for Carrie's next album. He told my friend the other day that it is nearing completion and that it is definitely "better than her last album" and "folksy" and that they could have a single out "by the end of the year if they wanted". Thanks for sharing. Sounds great. ...Would anyone happen to know of an example of a folksy Mark Bright production?

^^Mark Bright + folksy... you make a very interesting point there. Maybe she (and he) will surprise us? Maybe she has another producer for the album? It will be fun to see what's played out... Anyways, that video was incredibly cute and flattering. It's always nice to hear peers talk so wonderfully about Carrie (and Brad). I also loved Rascal Flatts at the end.

@wildaboutmusic: It's difficult to work with someone so lovely, so sexy, so feminine. #CarrieUnderwood's nice too.

^Nice! Those are the same writers as Cowboy Casanova! I'm interested to hear what they can come up with. Hopefully one of their cowrites will make the album. 'Something Beautiful' sounds like a nice song title and it could make a nice album title IMO.
