I really hope that they pull out all the stops with this album. They've done a great job so far with promoting the last albums, but I hope they top it off this go around.

Lauren Alaina Readies for Major 2012 Tour Announcement"Some time next year, I'm going to go out on tour opening up for someone ," Alaina reveals to Taste of Country. "We’ll be announcing that some time coming up, but right now I’m doing a lot of promotion for my new album. I'm just trying to get my name out there a little bit more and be able to perform as much as I can." Hmm.

Wouldn't be at all shocked if it were Carrie, but we'll see.

Carrie gets a very nice mention in Brad Paisley's Diary of a Player: "For instance, Carrie Underwood is clearly one of the best things ever to happen to our country music world. She's also been the best singer and CMA cohost that any guy could ever ask for. Country music clearly lucked out when she came our way after winning American Idol. That's because it's become clear that Carrie is making music for the right reasons, and she just keeps getting better and better. She is living proof of the potential of some of these shows to enhance our lives in ways we don't expect. By virtue of her talent and hard work, she's gradually become an American Idol the old-fashioned way too." Have you guys seen this videos yet? Nope. Thanks for posting. I've really loved this entire set of promos.

Someone posted this on Carriefans about an TV Guide artice: I get more and more excited about this album. Hmm, I actually interpreted that quote as referring to the CMA's. If it is about the album, color me even more excited, because Carrie is so humble about her work that if even she is saying it's going to be big, it's definitely going to be big.

I can actually see this being about the CMAs, it is kind of unclear. And as fine as it would be, I feel like Carrie is too modest to talk about her own work on those terms.

Question -- are the CMAs like the Grammys for Album of the Year, in the sense that if Brad were to win the award for This is Country Music, Carrie would get a trophy, too?

I would rather have some hot young guy opening for my own selfish reasons!

No, if Brad Paisley were to win for Album of the Year, he and his producer(s) would get the award. Anybody on the CD (like Carrie Underwood and Alabama) would not share in the honor.

Can anyone post a list of all the songs that have been added to ASCAP since Carrie started recording for this album? It's always so interesting to keep track.

I'm so excited! :) I also hope they continue to do a couple song parodies in their monologues, because those are always crowd-pleasers.

You know what I would love? If Carrie would pull a Beyonce and do a ballad heavy, kind of throwback album. Except for instead of old school R&B, she did some older sounding country music. It'd be a critical hit, and I love Carrie's ballad voice so very much.

The number of songs registered is what impresses me. Carrieoke music publishing is starting to look like a winner. I don't know how many of these songs will be picked up by other artists or recorded by Carrie herself, but I can see $$$ for a long time to come for Carrie.
