Did you all notice that part of the song includes this 20 second strange part by Brad at the end of the song. I verified the song lenght at amazon and the stream. Wonder why it's oddly thrown after the song ends? It's the interlude to 'Working On A Tan'. Brad said they recorded a bunch of extra verses for the song 'This Is Country Music' and tacked them on the album as interludes.

Thanks TYPO. I wanted to use the word interlude but wasn't sure that's what you called it.
ETA: Doesn't the beginning of REMIND ME sound like Jason Aldean's DON"T YOU WANT TO STAY?

The song is absolutely brilliant. They sound so believable, I almost wonder... Nah. They wouldn't. Still, their passion is unmistakable.

This duet has so much of Carrie's signature sound I wonder whom will Brad get to sing it with him on tour that can carry the power of her voice especially toward the end of the song?

I was wondering that too... Hopefully he does what he did with "Whiskey Lullaby" and have a pre-recorded Carrie standing there singing it, kind of like what Carrie did with Randy on "ITYS" on the Play On tour except probably just on a screen or something...

I love that every single little lyric packs some kinda punch. Even something as simple as 'we keep saying we're okay' is pretty powerful in this context.
It's just really well written.

On first, LQ listen I think it's a solid song. I like that it isn't the traditional set up of a duet and that they get little bits in each other's parts--that's a nice touch. There are moments where the lyrics are distinct and interesting, too. Their voices sound really great together--Brad really holds his own against Carrie. I do think it starts to fall off at the bridge a bit, and it starts to feel more like a vocal battle than a duet and the song loses focus a bit, but maybe that's just that it's in LQ and I can't get as "swept up" in the music/song by that point like I would otherwise.
Should have absolutely no problem being a hit. Then again, these two could have done just about anything and it would go to #1, so that they did a good song will only make it that much bigger.

This song has so much power to it. The vocal Carrie gives matches the strength of "Just A Dream" <3

I agree with this. It's a wonderful song, but I don't know if it's the quality we have right now or the production of the song, but to me it sounds messy and choppy. Don't get me wrong, Carrie and Brad sound great and the lyrics are awesome, but it sounds so rough to me. I hope once we get the album, it'll sound much better. As of now though, that's keeping me from fully getting into it.

You cannot be basing your opinion of the song off that shitty YT video audio. Trust me.

I'm not basing my opinion off of that. I'm basing mine on a rip from Slacker.

So there isn't a place to listen to the HQ version yet? Just wondering.
Anyway, even the so-called "s**t" version is really good...it'll just sound even better when we actually have the HQ version.

The one being passed around CF? Yeah, that's s**t, too. Agree, the song is amazing in every way. There is a reason to the hype, and once the high quality version is released I think these crazy people will be forced to change their minds.

You can hear the HQ audio over at Slacker radio. You can get a month of the premium radio subscription for free, over here. This will give you unlimited skips. Then you do a search for the This Is Country Music channel and skip until you hear 'Remind Me'. It's quite the process, but it's worth it. The audio being passed around CF and uploaded to YT is horrible.

The way I did it was pin the browser tab to my IE9 browser, right clicking gives you also the option to get a free month's trial at no charge. Then skip away!

Just some more thoughts about 'Remind Me' being that it has had my mind all day: - I get a different lyric stuck in my head after every listen. FB users are gonna be quoting the fuck outta this.
- The production gives me Taking The Long Way vibes.
- I want a sexxxy video.

Favorite lines: 'Do you remember how it used to be? We'd turn out the lights and we didn't just sleep.' 'So on fire, so in love. That look on your eyes that I miss so much.' 'Do you rember how it felt? You mean when we could'nt control ourselves.' 'All those things that you used to do, that made me fell in love with you.' Yeah, basically the whole song.

I really like the duet. I noticed what somebody else brought up earlier from the Amazon clip that Carrie's initial "Remind Me" sounds a little odd. I don't think it is her fault, but maybe something in the recording? I don't know. But something is off there, almost like it glitches when she says "Re" or whatever.
This is going to be a huge single, but I think the "biggest duet in Country History" were a little bit overblown. My hope is Carrie puts material as strong as this on her album instead of rehashing more mediocre material. If she does, there is no stopping her.

That's not my cap on YT fyi. I think the one i have is even better quality that that one and has the interlude.
So supposedly the Vancouver station played RM earlier than they were supposed to? I wonder how BOB KINGSLEY feels now that he's been scooped?

^ I'm actually surprised radio stations lasted as long as they had. One of them was bound to crack eventually.
