Carrie's choice for Lauren Alaina was 'Maybe It Was Memphis' by Pam Tillis. Flawless taste in music.

EFF I wanted that Bey-Gaga-Carrie-Aerosmith collabo. to happen. That would've made my life!

No Remind Me on the finale. Carrie confirmed that it'll be awhile before they sing it live. I'm hoping for some kick ass duet but I bet she'll be doing a medley of some sort. :)

Brad's team is so weird. Album release, no Remind Me performance (despite it being the next single) and no way to purchase Remind Me.
Well, I guess Carrie's on the same label, still strange.

They're not focusing on single sales yet, it's the album release and they want album sales. Can't blame them for that. I'm sure they have planned some big performances of Remind me when the song has more airplay, they have to release the song at some point. I could understand why they're not releasing it yet.

I just don't think they're that smart to hold off releasing the single. lol But hopefully they prove me wrong.

They have to release it as a single eventually, it'll have great sales. If Jason's duet could pass 1 million without a music video, this song (that is going to have a music video) will do even better.

I just remember that this song that Carrie pick for Laurn tonight was on the CMT 20 years of Greatest Woman special that aired awhile back and I hope that Carrie sings a medley of her songs (I ain't in checotah anymore) would be awesome for tomorrow finale since it is her 6 year anniversary but whatever Carrie sings i be happy about.

Well a bit of a let-down from yesterday's rumor... but it will be a thrill for Lauren to perform with her idol, so it's all good.

I still find it weird that for the 10th anniversary of the show, TPTB didn't even attempt to do a grand number with all the past winners, heck with all or most of the past contestants somehow. This duet with Lauren is more Carrie-the-country-superstar than Carrie-a-past-Idol, if you get what I mean. Like even if Carrie wasn't an Idol, TPTB would still have invited her to do the duet because she's a big country star that Lauren looks up to. Nothing wrong with that. I just like the sentimentality of celebrating 10 years of the show and so far, there seems to be no indication of any tribute.
Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing Carrie on my tv screen again. I miss her.

^^^ Well Carrie did say she's performing "a time or two" so I wouldn't be surprised if they did something like that.
They should have her sing "Alone" again.

They should have her sing "Alone" again. That would be AMAZING... like, having a few winners reprising their best performances or something like that!!

Yeah, I posted this on Carriefans, and I think it would be a great idea. Carrie can perform her full version of "Alone", and then they can release it on iTunes tonight.

I'm pretty sure she said a "note or two" in her blog. While I'm glad Carrie is singing, I expect her to hold back when singing with Lauren as to not outshine her. If this is the case, I hope we get another performance by Carrie. Maybe with Steven and Dream On? I'm also surprised that the Idol producers don't have anything in the works for the 10 year anniversary. They could have all the winners doing some cheesy group song together at least! lol

Yup, Carrie said "note or two" teasingly. Which could mean more than one song, just one song, or even just part of a song.
Yup, I expect her to hold back as well, with Lauren. And if there is one, a previous winners' group song won't have all the winners. Kelly has a concert in New York and Lee tweeted that he wasn't even invited to the finale (which in itself kinda indicates there won't be a winners' group song).
Anyway, I'm excited to see Carrie, any way she shows up. The finale will be shown live via satellite here in the Philippines.

PopMatters (B-) It’s too bad, really, because when Paisley gets things right, he’s stunningly good. “Remind Me,” his poignant country-rock duet with Carrie Underwood, may be one of the best country songs of the year.

Very good (quick) cover of Whenever You Remember by the top 2 for the Ford commercial!!! Carrie ended Before He Cheats just like she did @ the Grammys back in 2008!! Fantastic vocals... she didn't really hold back like we assumed, lol!! BTW, Beyonce covered her legs after she saw Carrie's... hehe!! Carrie's legs are unbelievable tonight!!

Carrie sounded great, she was clearly holding back for Lauren's sake, though. And, damn, those legs keep getting better.
