Funny about the 2 of them, but I always thought the Chace thing was just publicity and I doubt Tony is sad at all because Candace is really hot stuff. Can't wait to see how Carrie does in Australia, I believe she should do really well. |

I really, really hope that Carrie has more duets (and not with SOS -- I love WCIS, but I think a stronger vocalist would've made it better and potentially a single if it was a well-known duet partner) on the fourth album. :)

OFFSTAGE: "Remind Me" Reminds Me of MarriageBrad Paisley and Carrie Underwood have really done it this time. "Remind Me," their new duet, makes me think they've been reading the minds of every married couple out there. (And by "married," I mean for a "married for a while." Not just crazy affectionate newlyweds.) I mean, did they really need to rub it in this hard? The lyrics are about how they used to make out in crowd until someone told them to "get a room." And how they don't want to settle for "good, not great." And about the times they were kissing goodbye and couldn't stop. Or when she'd wake up in his old T-shirt. I almost start crying just hearing it in my head. It's a sad, sad song for anyone who has ever watched a love go from "get a room" to "good, not great." But I guess if there's some wisdom in the song, it's this line toward the end: "If you still love me, don't just assume I know." That's a reminder we can all use.

I like when they sing individually but when they come together, they don't sound nearly as cohesive as they do on I Told You So.
On the "is it stilll over, are we still through", it sounds like Carrie is not just singing harmony but a slightly different melody and then when they reconvene later in the chorus, you can barely hear Randy.
So I really don't like the chorus, unfortunately.

Does anyone know sales for Carrie in Australia? No, but Carnival Ride peaked at #9 on the Australian Country Charts, and Play On debuted and peaked at #3 on the Australian Country Charts, as well as #80 on the ARIA Charts without virtually any promotion. Can't really interpret any good sales range out of that because I don't know how the longevity of CR and PO have been sales-wise in Australia, but apparently it's been good enough to send Carrie there to do a tour. :) Oh, and Carrie was spotted in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Kroger Headquarters today filming a new commercial. There's large speculation (and ny4carrie/teesharky said over at CFans that she has confirmation) that it's for another VitaminWater commercial :) |
