When are we allowed to make a "Remind Me" thread in the Country folder? We know that it is officially getting released Memorial Day weekend, we have multiple sources, and there's already been a lot of discussion as it is.
If we're allowed to make the thread, I'll gladly take the liberty of doing so...

Do we know if Brad Paisley is doing an iTunes countdown for his album?

Do we know if Brad Paisley is doing an iTunes countdown for his album? Depends on if iTunes does more than one per artist per week. He's releasing the same day as Lady Gaga. Surely, surely she'll be in much more demand. If either of them are going to get one, it's obvious who it will be. To be honest, I just want this freaking song to leeeeaaaaak. SOME RADIO STATION NEEDS TO PULL A "COWBOY CASANOVA" AND PLAY THE UNFINISHED PRODUCT SO WE GET IT FASTER

^ I don't think Lady Gaga is doing an iTunes countdown. And even if she is, doesn't the label decide if it wants to do a countdown or not? Besides, I think many iTunes countdown ran simultaneously. Either way, *Crosses fingers*

I hope they will do a countdown, it's possible as Brad's on the same label as Carrie.
However, when can we expect the clips from his album? Should be any day now, right?

I don't know about Brad, but I'd rather them not do a countdown for Carrie. I mean, I guess I don't mind the countdown, but I just hope all of the songs released for iTunes countdown don't become the actual singles for the album, like they were with "Play On".

^ I think with the Play On singles, most fans wanted 2 out of the 3 countdown singles. No one expected Mama's Song to be released and no one expected them to stop at it as well. If we had known it would be only 4 singles from the beginning, we would have had a different attitude. Either way, I'm all for a countdown because it gives me new Carrie music.

I think it' be weird for them to do a countdown, seeing as by the time the album actually comes out, this album will have had 3 singles out to radio. I'm not sure if those songs are on iTunes yet, but if they are and they decide to release non-single songs, then that would mean that half of the album will be for sale before the release date.

I'm not sure if those songs are on iTunes yet "This Is Country Music" and "Old Alabama" are available for download on iTunes.

This is old but it's my video from a year ago that I just got to putting up today... It's Carrie singing JTTW/HGTA on 3/16/10 in Bridgeport CT. It's definitely one of the better audio quality versions you'll find on Youtube and it is decent video quality for being a plain, Nikon. Anyway, enjoy!!!

As much as I want to hear it now, I'll survive if I have to wait another few weeks. I want the song to have a HUGE debut, and if it leaks that will seriously hamper its debut position.

Review of Carrie's set at Stagecoach from Country Standard Time: Carrie Underwood started her set five minutes early, but her fans were already primed and ready to go. She kicked off a high-energy appearance with Cowboy Casanova and went on to perform most all her big hits, along with a few fun covers along the way. You can say what you will about Underwood's country credentials - except for some fiddle at the beginning, and a little banjo at the end, there wasn't a whole lot of traditional country elements - but there's no questioning her vocal talent.
Underwood sang for over an hour with a powerful voice that did not lag nor slip up once. Even when she got to Jesus Take The Wheel, which also included a bit of How Great Thou Art toward the end of the show, Underwood sounded just as pure and strong as at the start. It was also fascinating to see how confident she looked on stage. Many times, performers can appear overwhelmed by the huge spectacle that is Stagecoach. Not Underwood, however. She was clearly in charge from the get-go.
Underwood may have surprised a few folks by her rocking a Steven Tyler-assisted version of Walk This Way at the recent ACM Awards show, but she reprised that cover, by introducing it as a song she'd like to hear sung at a concert, and then upped the rock and roll ante by following it up with an authentically rocking version of Guns 'N' Roses' Paradise City. This sister was truly doing it for herself tonight.

I think we might get "Remind Me" before the album comes out. I can't be sure, because they might really want to keep that track in particular under wraps, but otherwise most country albums will be uploaded on Mediabase about a week before the release date.
I'm a pretty patient girl though. I can wait 'til the album comes out, if need be.

^ Well I'm not a patient guy and I'm pretty disappointed that Brad is apparently not doing an iTunes countdown so we will not get "Remind Me" in an official way ahead of time :(

'Jesus Take The Wheel' / 'How Great Thou Art' 'So Small' 'Walk This Way' / 'Paradise City' I love the uploader's comment regarding the 'Walk This Way' / 'Paradise City' medley: Carrie Underwood belting out a medley of Aerosmith's "Walk This Way" and Guns N' Roses "Paradise City" at the 2011 Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA on 5/1. Went there a casual appreciator of Carrie's voice, but left a huge fan. One of the best rocker chicks I've seen live in concert, on par with Ann Wilson and Chrissy Hynde.
'So Small' is gorgeous. Her phrasing on that one is just too good.

Soundspike on Carrie's Stagecoach set: Carrie Underwood took the stage after the sound of a massive peal of thunder. Whether or not it was intended to wake the crowd, they were on their feet and all hers by the time she hit the stage.
Underwood hearkens to some of the successful vocal instincts of Shania Twain. But where Twain had a slickness to her demeanor, never letting too much grit through the polish, Underwood's superior vocal strength lets her push into harder and more vulnerable places.
And watching the reactions of Underwood fans as they sang along with virtually every word of her set, the high points of the show are those very cornerstones. For opener "Cowboy Casanova," Underwood stalked the stage with the confidence of a prize fighter, brimming with vocal swagger and plenty of grit.
That she can pull off the tenderness of "Temporary Home" and the Olympian-belting of "How Great Thou Art" in the same show as the angry "Before He Cheats" -- and credibly convey all the nuance to play those role vocally -- is quite a bit of range to pull off. A strong performance.

Good luck to whoever does it. Usually its not good to do a previous contestants song on Idol. They never can quite live up. :)

As long as nobody touches (or attempts to) "Just a Dream", I'll be fine. They'll be compared regardless, but JAD is Carrie's finest vocal performance (for a single) she's ever released, IMO.

I always like it when the guys do her songs, a la Matt Giraud and So Small. I just think they change it up more and it's something new to hear.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Matt's take on SS. If it's Lauren covering Carrie, I think she could be in trouble.

I liked it! Lauren's gonna amazing when she's a bit older. But really smart to sing FOTF, because not many people know that song, so the comparisons won't be as obvious.
