No where near as good as Carrie's rendition, but she did alright. I just am not a fan of her tone.

Cool! Nice to hear FOTF! :)
Hopefully it'll help the sales of the song.

She did the song justice, it is a very hard song to sing. The breathing and range is very unique in the song and for Lauren, it was quite good. Carrie is just exceptional so to compare it to her would simply be unfair in my opinion. She was smart to pick a less popular Carrie song as she was able to perform a song by her favorite artist, but not have to go through all the comparison crap by the judges.

I thought the performance of FOTF was good, Lauren did a great job singing that song, i bet Carrie will be happy that someone sang one of her songs on idol without ruining it.

Lauren definitely did the song justice. It reminded me what a jam 'Floor' is, since I have not heard that song is eons it seems. On a critical note, during the bridge, it was apparent that Lauren's range was insufficient to keep up with the song like Carrie does so effortlessly, but on a positive note, Lauren's gorgeous tone and melisma added a more soulful sound than Carrie's version.
Well done, but I still prefer Carrie's version.

Did anyone see Cherie Oakley on The Voice last night? She was Carrie's first background singer, and Mark her guitar player.

Stumbled across this on tumblr. Felt the need to post it: The woman is stunning and she is getting better and better at performing. She's a superstar, really.

I would love to see a list where Carrie Underwood has 50 #1s on various charts. That is a way too high of a number.

I would love to see a list where Carrie Underwood has 50 #1s on various charts. That is a way too high of a number. You've got to include how many crossovers she's had, as well as how many different charts there are on Billboard. Jesus, Take The Wheel and Temporary Home both went to Christian, Gospel, and Pop to tag along with Country. Before He Cheats went to Pop, as did Cowboy Casanova and Undo It. With all the digital charts, Carrie's definitely gotten 50.

I'd like to see the list, too. I mean, not that I doubt it. I guess they factor in lots of things that we don't usually think of, like, digital songs chart and things. But still, a list would be interesting.

I would love to see a list where Carrie Underwood has 50 #1s on various charts. That is a way too high of a number. Wait, are you serious? Or is that sarcasm? In a word, serious! This is what I have and I go by Billboard numbers only: In Country: 10 #1 hits: 1. Jesus, Take The Wheel-2006 2. Before He Cheats-2006 3. Wasted-2007 4. So Small-2007 5. All American Girl-2008 6. Last Name-2008 7. Just A Dream-2008 8. Cowboy Casanova-2009 9. Temporary Home-2010 10. Undo It-2010 3 #1 CDs: 1. Some Hearts-2005 2. Carnival Ride-2007 3. Play On-2009 On the Hot 100: 1 #1 pop hit-Inside Your Heaven-2005 On the top 200: 1. Carnival Ride-2007 2. Play On-2009 However, I am not very proficient in the sales charts (where Carrie Underwood could have a bunch of top selling singles). I know she does not have a #1 adult contemporary hit (her highest placing there is Before He Cheats (#6)).

I may be wrong, but I think are tons of other charts that Billboard counts that you probably aren't: Top Catalog Album, Comprehensive Album, Top Digital Album, Country Digital Song, Hot Country Song, Christian Digital Song, Christian/Gospel Digital Song, Hot Country Recurrent, and many more. You can view a full list of Carrie's Chart history at Carrie Fans under "Carrie's Chart Update". There is a PDF file that lists them all.

I know she does not have a #1 adult contemporary hit (her highest placing there is Before He Cheats (#6)). She probably has at least two Country Catalog Album #1s and then a bunch of the Digital Songs #1s for genres. And didn't one of her holiday songs peak higher than #6 on AC? It wasn't #1, but maybe #2 or #3. Re: Lauren's "Flat On The Floor," I wasn't impressed. She didn't have nearly the power/force in her voice that song requires. It was more 'pleasant' than anything, though her timbre kind of irks me.

I have no problem believing she has 50 number ones on all Billboard charts... In fact i would of expected a few more then that when you figure in all the ringtone charts and all.... One thing ive noticed however about this board since joining there are alot of Chart Gurus around here..... LOL Im sure one of them will get to the bottom of this or even to tbe top of it for that matter.....

Carrie's had #1s on Catalog Albums a lot with SH and CR. Those are both still charting, if I recall correctly.

Carrie came in at #2 on CMT's 20 Greatest Women, 20 Years, behind only Reba. And...even more praise directed at 'Remind Me' from CMT's Alison Bonagaruo: It's the best thing that's happened to me this year. LOVE it.

This is random, but this week's Idol performance of 'Flat on the Floor' had me searching youtube for a HQ performance. This one is so underrated:
